CM Punk won the MITB last night, and whether you like it or not, that's how it is. I was hoping Christian would win, but that's another story. I think in general, even though alot of people wanted Christian to win, I think the majority of people on here like Punk. I know I do. But I was disappointed in his last reign last year. I was glad he won, don't get me wrong, but the way it was handled was pretty shitty. When he first won, my first thought was "here we go again..", but as the show went on, I started to get some hope for him, and his potential title reign. The biggest problem last time was he was booked like too much of an underdog. He had to get upset wins over guys like Snitsky, and overall, his matches had him playing the disadvantaged role. That was the main prooblem.
I think this time though, if he wins it, and even now, before he cashes in, it'll be much better for Punk. I think they'll book him as a legit Main Eventer now. Will they let him go out there and make quick work of Cena or Triple H? No. But when he is in matches, leading up to when he cahses in, and if he gets the belt eventually, I think he'll finally be able to play the role of an actual main eventer, and not a Rey Mysterio-type role. I think if they do that, it'll be much better.
Anyone else have any hope for Punk now that he's won MITB again? Do you think he'll be booked better now without having to be the underdog?

I'm a huge Cm Punk fan and if that happens dude i will mark out. He is so much better as a heel. Anyone seen him in ROH knows what i mean. He can cut good promos and make other people look good as well as himself. Why is he such an underdog? Because hes small? He is not that small, he's like Jericho size, so why isn't Jericho the underdog? I f you say he has not the wwe experience its rubbish hes got plenty of wrestling experience. I love the fact he won Mitb i wanted christian to win. Only cause punk had won it already i wanted him to win. But i cheered when punk won and thought hmmm cash in and lose is the only way to go with this.

I am upset Christian didn't win, yes, but I'm not mad at Punk for that. I've never really cared for the guy, his first run was awful, his moveset is virtually the same as another guy in the wrestling business, etc. He's just awful. I would have rather had Benjamin, Kofi, or MVP win before him.

^^^^^^Obviously someone has not seen the roh cm punk. The wwe cm punk is not as good and roh one. His moveset is like karate kid and a japaneese wrestler in one. I think give him a heel run and we will see the real cm punk.

If you was not at all impressed by punk in ROH. And your not impressed with him in wwe then no way will you turn and say you like him. Its your opinion and your entitled to it that's fair enough. I think hes a very good worker, talker and given mic time and more freedom in his matches he can impress a lot of people.

Win. This is the only way he's going to get more over and above the level he's at now. He'll probably try to face Cena and fail then attack him after the match or w/e.

Personally I don't see him challenging Cena or Triple H, there's no way that the WWE would make either of those wrestlers lose to CM Punk in my opinion. So it's going to be awhile till we see him use the briefcase in my opinion.

I also hope this time around it will be a one on one match, and he won't take advantage of a beaten wrestler.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, CM Punk doesn't interest me at all.

I find the guy somewhat stale, he is worth absolutely nothing. I don't see a reason why WWE is investing in such a dull character.

Christian should challenge Punk for the MITB briefcase and take it from him. Then we can see an epic Edge/ Christian feud which would be far better than another CM Punk Championship reign which sucked balls last time and won't be any different this time if the WWE eventually decides to let Punk win the Championship once again. And I have a strong feeling this will happen.

It's obvious they're gonna use this as a springboard to ONCE AGAIN attempt to break him into the main event. Judging on the crowd's reaction to him winning last night it'll most likely be as a heel.

To be fair, I don't believe they were booing Punk because they don't like him, they just really wanted Christian to win. He was one of the most over guys at WM last night.
