I'm not counting DZ's responses because I know he's just a closet Punk fan, but....damn! Some of you guys are harsh.
Yes, if you go into pro wrestling, you know what you're getting into and guys work hurt all the time. And let's not forget there's a difference between being hurt and being injured. And you should just rub some dirt on it and get back in there, kid. And that ain't pain, bitch! You want to see pain?!?!?!?!?
Sorry, got carried away there for a second.
Back to the point: if Punk is, as has been rumored, the supposed Royal Rumble winner and uncrowned WWE/Unified/whatever Champion-in-waiting, then his lack of ability to work might come into play. Therefore, it might be a little more important that he's hurt or injured or working hurt than just, "Well, that's the nature of the beast; he's gotta be tougher". If a major player has to come out of the ring, it's similar to your starting striker not being able to play or your starting quarterback being injured. Plans have to be changed. Maybe you get lucky and everything works out even better than you hoped, but it still becomes more chancy than it might be otherwise.
