Last night, after Ryback drove him through a table, The Straight Edge Superstar took a late night flight to Florida for an emergency consultation with Dr. James Andrews. A review of his condition resulted in the WWE Champion’s immediate surgery today. (PHOTOS FROM RAW)

Would be a shame if Punk's reign ends because of a surgery. Though it would give him some good material for some heel promos upon his return.

He has been limping for a while, his match with Kane is a prime example.

I doubt this will be the reason his reign ends. Let's face it, he is dropping the title to Rock next month. There are plenty of knee surgeries out there that are far from major.. if he's been wrestling through this knee injury my guess is it isn't anything huge. He can work a match with Ryback at TLC and then chill till the Rumble. No real reason for him to be wrestling TV matches anyway.

Yeah this is the results I am hoping for. Just to see the story set up with Punk and Rock getting the payout. Everything else will feel rushed and Leo and I had a hard time coming up with who could fill in on short notice.

Leo C and I ended up discussing if Punk has to sit TLC out they could do a fourway TLC match for the title with Ryback, Orton, Del Rio and some other over mid carder/spot monkey. Let either Orton or Del Rio take the title and then be fed to the Rock.

no way they do that lol. If they wanted to make a multi man match they could just include Punk, lighten his workload and have him steal the win in the end.

I am working under the pretenses that it is so bad that Punk cannot even work it under a lighter load. A so called Worst case scenario.

Like I said I can't think of a knee injury that you can wrestle through for this long and then suddenly be completely unable to do anything post-surgery.

That would be interesting and a bit ironic. I'd almost want to see how WWE would react to it.
