PS3 now $299, PS3 Slim in Sept

Sold the PS3 Phat to some guy I met off of Craigslist no less then 50mins ago. I have nothing but a shitty Wii, a dead 360, and a PSP.

I'm so lost. I'm gonna play OOT and then buy MM and play em on the Wii.

This Guy: Gamestop website says that the PS3 Slim ships on the 25th of August. Everybody else says ships Seeptember 1st. Help me out

Its street dated....but Sony probably is shipping them to retailers on the 25th of August, and whoever updated the web site probably put that date down...as in most cases the date listed is the day its shipping and not the day it arrives in stores...but due to street date will not be allowed to be sold until the 1st anyways. However I can't say for sure because I have been off work since they were officially announced and everything.

Why the fuck would you sell the fat one? The slim looks like shit compared to the orginal PS3.

I agree, not to mention other then being slim there not actually that much smaller laying flat which is the way I prefer my systems, which means its really taking up the same amount of room...seems like a waste to me, but it will generate new intrest.

Oh okay, well it turns out the slim isn't street dated acording to the memo we got today, and we are getting them tomorrow apparently.

everywhere here in canada is selling it not just Gamestop, Sony pulled the street date off. So yeah we had them on Tuesday already and started selling...funny thing was I guess Sony had shipped them to the warehouse prior to pulling the street date cause the boxes still had the Sept 1st Street Date stickers on them. But Sony sent an e-mail later in the day confirming that we could sell them right aways. Most of our competitors didn't get them till Wednesday though.

I also love how people who noticed the 360 elite's getting a price drop don't really seem to care. Microsoft is ripping people off by having a hard drive-less xbox 360 and getting rid of the pro xbox 360 which has a HD. Now they are raising prices in the UK. The PS3 will win big this holiday.
