Also keep in mind that if you open the PS3, you void the warranty and Sony won't fix it for you. You might want to consider that before you pop the case open because by doing that, you're waiving all your rights to get it replaced for free. Not worth the risk, especially if you don't know what you're doing.

Yeah, I wouldn't suggest opening and poking around the innards unless you're hacking/modding the console, you pretty much forfeit your warranty if you do that.

Just a quick question has it been working fine with everything else? Because I'll say I have an old fat PS3 and it works fine with all the other games I play but I've had plenty of problems with WWE 13 turning the PS3 off, freezing randomly when I try to change a moveset, get into a match, cutscenes in Attitude era, and other places

I've had it for prob bout 2 years and that was the first time it ever did anything. I haven't tried a game with it since but I have been turning it off instead of just letting it sleep as well. Not trying to risk it just yet but I'ma eventually have to to see where it is at and how it'll do with a game.

And yeah I'm not popping it open anytime soon. I'ma do all I can without opening it to keep it going and keep it working.

You prob have a issue with it overheating....means your fan is shot or it's just loaded with dust. Get a can of keyboard duster from office max and blow that in all the vents.

well I just hope that it is just loaded with dust. A busted fan... no good... no good.

well bad news.>> I just tried it out with Street Fighter x Tekken... the first round played perfectly... but I couldn't even get the second round to start before it quit.
