Been attending Progress like clockwork at the Ballroom/Dome shows since last year in January. While sometimes the events run a bit long. It's always a great experience.

I went to Gene Munny's Daft Lad Emporium last night not really knowing what to expect. Overall it was a wildly entertaining evening. I thought the storyline they did throughout the show was hilarious and when you have strong character workers like Gene Munny and Martina together you can't go wrong. Some decent matches on the show but without a doubt the best of which was Shigehiro Irie and Fuminori Abe. That was a hard hitting contest all the way through and I'd love to see them go at it again. Unfortunately it did look like Warren Banks may have picked up some injury in what I can only describe as a reverse spanish fly. This is the second time I've seen Warren take a bad landing from a move along this lines so it might be time for him to cut this spot from his matches.

PROGRESS, for an independent company, always does great vignettes and promo packages. Even back to the days of Havoc, Scurll, and BSS (Well, let's not think about the first two given certain things), they were always great at them. They made me keep an eye on them as an international fan.

So I was here in person for this show and it was great to see such a packed house. The opening bout was a ton of fun and everyone had a chance to shine. Leon has a lot of potential despite his youth and Danny Black showing a more aggressive, subtle heel side rose his stock for me. I did like the personality Robbie X showed although it must be said that the star quality came from Lio Rush. Of the four of them he for me was the one who really stood out. LA/Martina was a decent scrap and it was interesting seeing Martina play a more serious character in this match. She showed a fire and spirit you don't often see with her shtick. LA Taylor absolutely shone throughout the evening, impressive in the ring and showed a lot of personality and character which I loved. Bird/Crowley is a ton of fun, I'm a massive fan of Charles Crowley and his character work has been exceptional. I won't mention much but there was a subtle tease of what was to come with him and I'm very curious if they pay it off.

Millie and Skye was a decent bout and Skye was someone who when I first started attending Progress last year I didn't think that much of her. But the association with Lana has been a boon to her and brought out a personality and charisma which she didn't showcase fully previous. While I'm a huge fan of Millie in the ring, sadly on the mic she had far from her best performance which is especially of note against someone as charismatic as Lana. Again the CPF boys showed a subtle heel side and I'll be honest I'm a massive fan of Callum Newman. For me he is an absolute first round draft pick. I will say that I do sometimes feel like he's been held back by the others in CPF and Mayhew for me sadly doesn't click. Dereiss is excellent and while I'm not as big on him as others, Moloney is solid.

The main event I will admit I had my concerns about. More just as I wanted to see how the cage looked above all else. It looked great and the match truly had a big fight feel. I've often said in the world of wrestling and the ultimate what would I do if I had a promotion. If I could only select a small handful of people from Progress. My top 2 picks would be Spike Trivet and Cara Noir (Closely followed by Dereiss). The match was very good and definitely had it's brutal moments. I like that they told a story and there wasn't kick outs for the sake of kick outs. A very entertaining progress which didn't over run as in the past, while I've always enjoyed my time there. I've sometimes felt they've done a little too much and it does get draining.

Don't think it was Broken, he tweeted out also that there's no fracture. Might be something ligament related.

Well, he doesn't wrestle wearing shoes... High risk of that even if it fits his Black Swan gimmick.
