Pro Wrestling Entertainment is the newest super-promotion in the wrestling community. Instead of focusing on individual episodic shows, PWE's intention is to host a number of special events throughout the year to a wide array of wrestlers and offer wrestling audiences a clear alternative to some of the products that they are used to watching. The promotion has made it clear that these will involve tournaments, multiple day festivals, annual events and super-cards. The promotion has made it clear that although they aren’t intending to run a weekly television show - you shouldn’t say no to anything forever.

So far the promotion has announce three events: La fiesta de una docena de días (a twelve day lucha libre festival), Tournament of Pain (a hardcore tournament, set to take place over one weekend) & an event title simply titled as ‘Mudshow Mania’.

None of the talent have been signed to exclusive contracts with the promotion, and many work for various other companies all over the world. PWE has made it clear that it intends to use different groups of wrestlers to work on each of the three events.

La Fiesta De Una Docena De Días

The first scheduled event translated into English 'The Feast Of A Dozen Day' is a twelve day event that will take place over twelve consecutive days, with all tour dates taking place within California State. A total of twirty-two luchadores from around the world, have been invited to take place in this unique tournament. Entrants will be placed into eight groups of four wrestlers, as they will compete in round robin matches over a period of three days. With each group getting a night off between each group match. All round robin matches will conclude on the sixth day of the fiesta - with the group winners guaranteed a place in the next round. Further details, will released once the tournament has reached its halfway point.

Groups and their entrants will be announced over the next few days, with the entirety of Group A now available for viewing.

[Group A]

Senor Loco - a Mexican luchador, usually involved in comedic storylines and often works with sponsors to promote products on Mexican Television. Despite his gimmick, Loco is a recognised mid-carder and is a talent on the up.

Krysis - a Georgian wrestler formerly known as Greogri Talakhadze, who began wrestling under the character of Krysis when he started wrestling in Puerto Rico. A man of few words, but a heavyweight that isn't afraid of using high risk aerial maneuvers.

Mr. Thanksgiving - a citizen of the United States of America who has spent most of his career working out of the state of Georgia, wrestling with a literal Turkey mask on his head with a go to weapon of a wooden baseball bat nearly always signed by at least one member of the Atlanta Braves.

Puzzle Piece - little to nothing is known about Puzzle Piece, as he has never uttered a single word during his entire career. He is often described as doing a lot of 'flippy shit'.

[Group B]

Vampyr - a wrestler billed from Transylvania (but actually expected to be from Mexico, due to his terrible accent) who is involved in 'spooky segments' but is more often used as a development talent.

Caos Rojo - is a Mexican luchador formerly part of the group 'Caos' but is now the only member who has retained his mask and has very much become a target for unmasking, with many Rudos keen to claim Rojo's mask as a prize.

Lost Property Fairy - Martine Salamanca is an Ecuadorian-American who was forced to become the Lost Property Fair (dressed like a Disney Princess Fairy, who collects lost items of clothing) as a punishment for getting drunk and missing an important title match, of which he was the champion. The gimmick game traction, to the point that bookers no longer want to book Salamanca and instead only want the Lost Property Fairy. A multi-time champion at Lightweight level, who is often taken lightly with his opponents often suffering because of it.

Arquero - formerly Son of Arquero, but claimed the name after defeating his own father in a retirement match. Arquero is a four time World Champion, with all his reigns having come during his tenure with Mexican promotion Lucha Unificada de México (L.U.M.) who are rumoured to not be best pleased of Arquero involvement in the tournament.

[Group C]

Pandah - is a Japanese former Deathmatch wrestler, who had never washed his mask and often rubs the blood of his opponents onto his mask. Pandah has been working in the USA and Mexico for the last five years, and as of yet hasn't reached the same heights of success on foreign soil.

Malhumorada - who formerly wrestled as Mr. Grumpy before decided to pack up his bags and leave New York State in favour of a life down south. Is infamous for using the Asian Mist to blind his opponents, often doing so in front of referees showing absolutely no care for being disqualified.

Muerte Naranja - is one of the most sought out Young Lion (under 25) having spent much of his early career touring in Europe and Japan. Mexican fans believe that Naranja has the potential to be one of the greatest luchadores of all time.

Cali Kid - the California native is a luchador of mixed Mexican-American parentage, who previously didn't wrestle under a mask. Is a workhorse, who as of yet hasn't won any titles to name of - despite being no stranger to title opportunities. Many describe him as being an 'almost man'.

Shogun Kid - is a representative of 'The Bushido Clan' who has been tasked with earn prestige for the Japanese faction on foreign soil. Shogun is the youngest member of the group, and his involvement in the tournament is being seen as a rite of passage or a coming of age. He is a stiff worker, who is prone to injuring other workers - although, to this point it isn't clear if the injuries are a work or a shoot.

Águila Dorada - is a massive heel in Mexico, largely due to the fact that he billed from Spain and is often cutting promos about how much disdain he has for Spanish colonists that have polluted The Americas. Dorado is considered as the greatest Spanish wrestler of all time.

TexMex - is former Rodeo Rider Miguel Rodriguez, who retire from the sport after breaking both his legs. Despite, this terrible injury he would rehabilitate himself - to the point where he has become one of the most popular wresters in States in recent years. He has proven to be a massive fan favourite in the state of Texas, which lead to him changing his name to TexMex. Is consider a Babyface in the US, but strangely enough the Mexican fans see him as a heel.

Goblynn - this wrestler will make his debut at La Fiesta De Una Docena De Días and there is currently no information regarding his true identity.

ElectroBuzz - is a massively popular masked wrestler from Japan, who is a massive fan of Pokémon hence his name being a homage to Electabuzz. His finisher is called the #125, which is a reference to Electabuzz's Pokémon number. He is famously sponsored by Nintendo and has a very popular gaming channel on Youtube.

Rey Púrpura - is one of the oldest wrestlers taking part in the tournament and is considered wrestling royalty in Mexico, and despite having been a heel his entire career has a massive fan following (much to his annoyance). Anyone who beats him, will claim a massive scalp not only in this tournament, but in their career as a whole.

E-Mote - a first year wrestler billed from Bangalore, India and the only entry in the tournament from the country. E-Mote hasn't yet found his place in the wrestling world, but considering who else is in his group there is no doubt these will be some of the highest profile matches of his short career so far.

Mosquetero de Japón - originally known as Hideki Kojima, this wrestler toured in Mexican for a period of two years before returning to Japan with the gimmick of a Musketeer. A wrestler who believes in fairness and respect, and is a champion of fights taking place under 'Pure Rules' and is the reason why matches of this gimmick has become popular in Japan in recent years.

ZebraHead - the Namibian wrestler, who has been making a name for himself in the South Africa wrestling scene. ZebraHead has confirmed via his social media channels, that he is hoping his performance in PWE will result in him being offered future work in North America.

PeeGee Flips - the British wrestler, whose gimmick is built as a dedication to the use of Chimpanzees as the characters in PG Tips advert (a British Tea company) and has wrestled wearing a chimp mask for his whole career. The comedy character, is very much an opener and this will be the highest profile event he will be taking part in.

Payaso Bastardo - is a massive heel who spends most of his time wrestling in the North-East, whose main drive is unmasking luchadores mid-match forcing them to retreat backstage. At this moment in time Payaso Bastardo, is probably one of the most disliked wrestler backstage and is infamous for making unreasonable demands from his employers. Combined with being a massive draw, many bookers are forced to book in order to stop rivals from gaining popularity.

Barajar - is another wrestler who is making his debut in the tournament. It is assumed that he may actually be a more established wrestler, but his true identity is currently unknown to everyone apart from the agent whom signed him.

Rainbow Kat - the Brazilian luchador blends a unique style of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blended with technical wrestling, that makes him a marvel to watch in the ring and is a wrestler that captivates South American wrestling scene. Kat has never wrestled in the US, so this is seen as being a big break for him.

Night Sky - is a former member of the group The Dead President's Society, who previously wrestled under the name Roosevelt. Since going on his own Night Sky, has been building up a name for himself in the Philadelphia scene which led to him being scouted to take part in the event. A man of few words, but of many actions the wrestler of Native American descent has quite the cult following down to his cultural background.

Street King - is a member of the Grenada Generals, a Motorcycle Club based out of Grenada and is often accompanied to the ring by various members of the club. Street King has been quite vocal, about having served time in the prison system and as such has adopted 'thug tactics' into bending the rules with the aid of various members of the club.

Niebla - formerly of the tag team 'Nube de Nieba' before his partner Nube suffered a career ending injury after being blinded in one eye during a botch aerial move off a ladder. For a long period Niebla had turned to working in wrestling schools, but has agreed to take part in the event on the request of his former partner with the reason being that Nuba feels that Niebla has been throwing his career away, in his honour. This is a comeback that large portions of the Mexican fanbase are very excited about.

Velocidad - another Mexican talent who going into this tournament is will definitely be seen one of the favourites with a decorated career to boot, being a nine time Middleweight champion for Mexican promotion Azteca Gold, as well as being a sixteen tag-team champion across the globe in three different continents despite still being in this 30s. On this basis, a massive target will be drawn on his back with everyone wanting to the be the man to take down Velocidad.

Tarántula - is a wrestler who is actually licensed by Marvel, and was created in order to help promote various Marvel TV shows to the Mexican audience. Tarántula is a character, rather than a wrestler and it is believed that a total of six men have wrestled underneath the mask. To this date, none of their identities have been revealed.

Captain Canada - the Canadian born wrestler, has worked in the Southern states and Mexican for the best part of a decade. He plays the role of villain, often making inappropriate offensive comments and doing his best to get under the skin of the local audience. Has proven to be a master of mind games, and often rattles his opponents before they have even stepped into the ring to face him.

Reaper - is another wrestler who will be making their wrestling debut under the character name Reaper, with the identity of the man underneath the mask not currently known.

It has now been announced that the host venue for Day One & Day Two will be at Viejas Arena (San Diego), with Day Three & Day Four taking place at the Stockton Arena (Stockton) and the final matches of the group stages taking place in at Kezar Pavillion (San Francisco) for Day Five & Day Six.

The events will be attended by a live audience, but three different television distributors have signed contracted to air the events. Mexican channel El Canal del Hombre Dos & North American streaming service The Pop Network will both air every single day of the La Fiesta De Una Docena De Días live, whilst European sports channel Euro Cable Sport 4 will broadcast next day full replays of the event.

It has also been announced that Tokyo Prince, former wrestler turned commentator has signed an exclusivity deal with Pro Wrestling Entertainment and will feature as one of the companies prime members of the commentary team moving forwards. ​
