Alright, I was thinking about this today.
Often times, as wrestling fans, we want alot of things. But one of the things we want is a good, solid tag team division, that we can care about.
But another thing we always want, is new stars, and new main eventers, and people being pushed.

But sometimes, you need to choose. An example of this is Lance Cade, and another is John Morrison, and hell, even Brian Kendrick. but it's not JUST these guys, so dont think that. Anyways, see, all these guys have been in tag teams before, and when they were, they were in the best tag team in wwe at that time. Now alot of us wanted them pushed as a tag team back then, and thinking hoo they should be the top team's in WWE. But all these guys, and many others, have eventually been broken away from their team.

Now, my point is, what comes first to you? If you have a guy who could be a top tag team star if pushed right, but teres also talk of pushing him as a singles guy, and trying to make him big, which do you want? Take Cade for example, if he stayed with Murdoch, they couldve been a top team for years more, and now, he's a single's guy, and they want to push him, but there's no guarantees.
So in cases like this, what do you think the priorities should be? Keep them in tag team where they have a good chance to shine as a team, or take a risk, and hope to make a new star, even if it menas sacrificing part of the struggline tag division...

My opinion on this is, take tag team wresting back to the way it was early in the Millenium

Have 3 or 4 talented tag teams (Hardys, Dudleys, E & C) and keep them feuding. I mean, they put on some amazing matches, and carried the tag team division for a while

But eventually each team must split and get pushed as single stars. Imagine if they didn't, we would've nevr seen HBK or Bret.

Off-Topic a bit, but I see The Rockers not winning gold as a blessing in disguise. If they did, they may have tagged for longer and ths HBK wouldn't have been as big a star as he is

well i always get annoyed when they split a team up but it usually works out for the best in the long run... im a big fan of tag team wrestling but sometimes teams need to split eventually.

I dunno...

I mean, if you keep a tag team together for over several months and they do a bit here and there, then they tend to get somewhat "Stale" and such...after most fans having seeing them tag together for so long...

then the company probably breaks-em apart and turn them into singles wrestlers...
which is probably a little bit stupid, cause its not like any of them will get a huge-mega push outt've it.

so...I dunno...

if its a good-quality tag team (like londerick/miz&morrison/etc.) and they manage to put on good matches most of the time, then I wouldn't mind them sticking together for a little while longer til they begin to get over with the fans and such.

but if the team gets jobbed to hell(like lond'erick on raw)
then...
I dunno...
draft-em to ECW or something...

I'm kind've againest brian and paul splitting up.

^^^Yeah, breaking Londrick up was totally pointless... Especially if ultimately it's ony to bring Kendrick's bodyguard in and push him.

With the recent arrival of Team Priceless and Cryme Tyme, another solid team on Raw could have made all the difference to the their dag div IMO.

Their is a great history of tag wrestlers becoming legendary singles wrestlers.

By the way I came up with Londrick in '05 I even typed it into Google & Yahoo after I coined it on another forum a few years back and I got nothing to do with wrestling type it in now there's a lot more now.

Re: Splitting teams to push them...

I was always pissed that there was never a breakout star from The Bushwhackers!
