I think he's probably scum. the role is called 'vanilla manager' so I don't see why you'd say vanilla pioneer when claiming your role. also while it's true he's unliely to claim as scum without anyone saying something I don't think he'd just claim as town like this as well. given that the scum win condition probably says something about needing to get lynched, he's probably intentionally trying to get lynched here.
