Fossil fuels will be pretty much gone, so energy will be from a mix of natural alternatives, like solar, wind and dried animal manure, and nuclear/radioactive/chemical sources.

If things go nuclear... the world will cease. Too much radiation will spread cause there will be bound to be meltdowns all over.

Mass transit will become more popular, wide spread, and necessary most places. Possibly a decline in rural town living in general.

Privately funded space exploration is also a huge possibility.
