OK so WWE charges like $45 for a PPV a month. The past 10 years PPV buy rates have been declining year after year. I remember when I would order a PPV and it was like $25 or $29.95. If WWE would charge $25 per PPV again instead of almost $50 I think a lot more people would willing to dish out money for a PPV. Especially considering the lack of quality the recent PPV's have contained. It is crazy to me that in this economy (USA) they would charge so much for a monthly PPV. I think if they lowered the price to a REASONABLE amount more people would buy.

I think they would be able to make just as much if not more then they already do per PPV. Think about it. Say an average of 100,000 people buy specific certain PPV for $45. You cut the PPV price in half sort of to about $25 (because honestly who can't come up with 25 for a decent wrestling show), maybe 100,000 more people will buy the PPV that would be $500,000 more profit.

My point: I just think if the PPV price was cheaper a lot more people would buy the damn PPV instead of watching it on a stream for free on the interwebs. :-S

Last PPV besides WM I ordered was when Triple H returned.. go figure.

$10 is the most it should be for these shitty PPV's, honestly. Even TNA's are $30 which is a joke, should put this thread in general wrestling. The WWE's (and TNA's) strategy is solid though, the same idiots continue to buy their PPV's so they still make money.

Good point I will move it, I didn't really even think people bought TNA's PPV's to be honest.

Haha, I don't think many do. Tons of people stream em though.

I dont order PPV's nor do I stream them. I usually read live stuff online and buy the DVD for my collection. If they were to put in down to at least 29.99 i could probably order every PPV tbh. Id wish PPVs were cheap.

I personally wait till the next day and download the whole event to my computer from filestube.com

It is great having a rapidshare account! If anyone would like to use it just PM me and maybe we can work something out.

I think it could work if they lowered the price but it could be a risk as a lot of people may not buy it. I could see it working and them probably making a lot more money but alas WWE won't do it. Its okay in the UK though as I only have to pay £15 for a PPV so I always buy them as they always interest me and its not too expensive.

Prices of PPV's have been getting way out of hand. The last PPV I ordered was Wrestlemania 23.

I usually buy WM and the Rumble, but I won't be doing it for much longer. As you said, we buy these PPVs for $45 when you would get a better kick out of watching The Simpsons, VH1, or MTV. My question is, would PPV price lowerings REALLY help PPV buys? I mean some cable providers don't even have PPV channels. That decreases some of the earnings. Anyone have any other thoughts like mine?
