I think this is finally changing, he's made a huge statement this year.
In 2017 I foresee...
RAW:
Universal Title: Reigns, Strowman, Lesnar, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor - Those would be my 5 names as possible contenders for this upcoming year.
United States Champ: Sami Zayn, Big E would be my two best guesses.
Cruiserweight Champ: Neville will be the main holder most of the year I imagine, Austin Aries is going to be the one to dethrone him in a helluva match. Swann, The Brian Kednrick, TJP, Gran Metalik, Jack Gallagher as other possible holders throughout this year.
RAW Tag Team: Enzo & Cass should be getting their straps at WrestleMania and holding them for a little bit. Maybe Anderson and Gallows stop jobbing at one point and hold it for a short period.
RAW Divas Title: Charlotte and Sasha Banks repeats for the whole year!.. Nah Bayley, Emmalina (if existent) should be getting it at one point, maybe Nia Jax is a contender. (definitely not Dana Brooke)
SMACKDOWN:
World Title: AJ (Will hold it most of the year), John Cena (Another guy who will prlly hold the strap a long period of time), Undertaker and Miz might be two other people that could contend and hold it at one point.
Intercontinental Champ: Baron Corbin (Most likely to hold it and for a decent period of time), Dolph Ziggler, Shinsuke Nakamura, Tye Dillinger and Randy Orton (possibly after a turn on the Wyatt Family) would be my choices of people who may contend or hold the strap in 2K17.
SMACKDOWN Tag Team: Wyatts will hold it going into the year, American Alpha will hold it at some point for a decent run, maybe the Usos when Jey returns from Injury.. That's all I really think will happen there for the year.
SMACKDOWN Womens Title: Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch will be the early holders in 2017 and then it's gonna be Nikki Bella at some point, it's a given.
NXT:
NXT Champ: Shinsuke, Bobby Roode, Roderick Strong would be my current 3 who I believe will be the stabilized NXT Title holders, we'll see what happens if they decide to sign more talent to the show.
NXT Womens Champ: They're finally bringing in talent to give Asuka a much needed run for her money.. Ember Moon (I'd say she's the next holder), Newcomers who have yet to debut, Evie, Heidi Lovelace and Kimber Lee might be in the running if people like them. Given their skills in the independent promotions they should be able to put on a show.
NXT Tag Titles: You really couldn't go wrong here, anyone in the NXT tag division could hold the titles at any point.. Authors of Pain, #DIY, Sanity, Revival, TM-61.. All solid teams, all worthy enough to hold the straps in NXT.
