I'd love to hear the other reasons.

I think I actually pleaded my Regal case awhile back I just might make a topic about it.

I do not think he would fit the GM role right now. He had a lackluster run for god knows how long on ECW. He hasn't really been seen since. Then he gets brought up to be GM? It just doesn't go with me. In 2008 he won King of the Ring and became Raw GM if I remember correctly. He had everything in place to finally bring his career back up. There is nothing he can do right now to get back to that level. The guy can barely get airtime on NXT every week.

If anyone should be GM that is on the WWE roster right now would be Matt Striker or Tiffany. Hell even Cody Rhodes. That way he can still get airtime while still suffering from his "concussion" from Mania. That could also give the edge to DiBiase's faction he is cooking up. That could also build some heel heat around Cody which he failed to get while in Legacy.

You'd prefer Cody Rhodes to William Regal?

The GM spot should benefit someone who actually needs to be benefited. Regal is in a terrible position right now. He is getting old and is past his prime, the small prime, if he ever had a prime. Superstars like Rhodes could really benefit from a spot like this.

Cody Rhodes is just an example. It would definitely be something different to have a younger talent be the GM.

If he's in a terrible position then why not restore his credibility by putting him in a good one as GM? It wouldn't take long to get the crowd back against him, knowing the ways he can pull great heel heat. Regal is too talented not to be given such an opportunity. Cody Rhodes would be boring as fuck, Matt Striker is already NXT GM and Tiffany wrestles. If Regal's not doing anything like you said, then wouldn't it make sense to make him general manager?

How many times did they try to restore William Regal? Regal has had some good opportunities over the past couple years, but nothing ever comes out of it. Regal doesn't deserve to have his career restored at this point. Restoring Regal's career would be like breathing new life into Finlay's career. Some guys just need to be let go and Regal is definitely one of them. Regal's best moments in the WWE was when he joined the Kiss My Ass Club, had his run with the brass knucks, the stint with the Un-Americans, his relationship with Eugene, his relationship with Paul Birchill the Pirate, his boring tag team with Dave Taylor, SHOUTING KING BOOKER OVER AND OVER AGAIN, winning KOTR, turning the lights off, blowing his huge push, and probably the most beneficial factor to him was when he would get WWE huge pops in the UK. Maybe if his career was a little better, he would deserve a second chance, but his run wasn't that great. Why should he get a second chance? To lead people on then fade away and go back to wrestling dark matches?

His run as GM was pretty fuckin' great. Best Raw GM since Bischoff. That should be enough to warrant a second chance.
