The same Chinese leaker who hinted at and was right about multiple things in Pokemon Sun and Moon has mentioned that Nintendo has retrademarked several Pokemon in Japan, which this is after they announced Megas were in Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee. The last time Pokemon were retrademarked were for....

I mean, the megas listedn include ones for each gym, E4 and Champion, so it makes sense kinda for each to get one even if it is post-game. And since there is one Kanto Dragon Line

Why give these two megas whenever they just received Alola forms? Way to bury Sun and Moon forms.

Buffing these Pokemon makes sense and isn't objectionable for the most part. I'm iffy on buffing Machamp, tbh. What's his mega gonna be? Him without the underwear on?

Starmie's stats and movepool are already really good. It doesn't need a buff. Furthermore, giving Eeveelution forms megas feels incredibly silly. Why do that instead of making new Eeveelutions? The only mega Eeveelution should be Mega Eevee, not Mega Espeon, not Mega Flareon, not Mega Dodecahedroneon, etc.

I love it whenever Pokemon that already have stats higher than my college dropout neighbor get mega evolutions instead of weak Pokemon that desperately need a buff in order to do anything that can even come close to being perceived as putting up a fight. Seriously, it's the same as Salamence. This Pokemon is already very powerful. Why make it even more strong? How is that necessary?

That is, if Mightyena - one of the many Pokemon with awful stats - was getting a mega instead of an already powerful Pokemon.

Which will realistically smoke Mightyena 10/10.

I am sad.
