For a long while, Vaporeon was my fav as I also used a lot of Waer types. Original playthrough of Pearl when I played as a kid and never finished and saved over, I had like, Piplup, Biberal (before the Beaver thing became a thing ) Shellos and Buizel.

I almost always pick the starter on my first playthrough and liked Water types on my team. Even in Omega Ruby, I had Swampert and a Tentacruel on my team for my playthrough and my first competitive team.

Once you get the game (no paranoia!) we all can do battles. Hoping to get some in while everyone is on break. They are fun, the free for all ones.

They have free for all battles now? That sounds awesome!.. What's the maximum # of combatants and how does it work?

Sheesh I'm super eager to get my 3DS and start these new DS versions so I can catch up lol.. probably will be a new version by the time I get to Sun or Moon haha.

It looks better when you see actual people playing it. I just pulled a generic video off Youtube that shows it.

Everyone gets 3 Pokemon and battles each other. You can only target one at a time (unless your move hits everyone on the field by default). Outrage can't be targeted either, it is completely random, it can hit anyone. I think once someone has 3 knockouts it is over but I am not entirely sure on that. The Beaves would know. I only played a few of them. I have to finish the game up. Still have to encounter all the ultra beasts and what not.

As soon as I got up for Xmas, my mom told me to open my gifts and unexpectedly, I got Pokemon Moon when I didn't expect it at all. okerface:

Well, bad start. Picked Rowlet, named it Dexter, first encounter was a Ledyba.... named it Baggage. Then I remembered the normal type trial leader has a Pokemon with a move the type super effective against you starter...next encounter was a Wingull, fainted on a crit!
