Representatives of Hulk Hogan have reached out to TNA about a possible deal to sign the WWE Hall of Famer. Hogan has shown interest in the past of signing with TNA and feels the company needs "that one big name" to compete with WWE.

Hogan last teased a TNA appearance in 2003 when an angle was shot with Jeff Jarrett smashing a guitar over Hogan's head during a press conference in Japan. A match was planned but Hogan cancelled due to knee problems.

There is speculation that Hogan has no serious interest in signing with the company and is only using them to leverage a larger deal with WWE.

I'm not so sure that "that one big name" would help TNA more than it would hurt it.

An appearance or two wouldnt be bad, its when he starts wanting to wrestle we are all fucked.

That one big name????? Isn't that what they said when they signed Nash...and Hall....and Booker T....and Sting....and Angle....and Foley....and Lashley...

^lol exactly.... he'll be on maybe once, draw huge ratings or something TNA has never seen before, and then help the crash and burn of the business once he leaves the show :)

Yeah, and the ratings were usually the consistent 1.1

TNA can try to add that "one big name" thousands of times, but they're never going to draw ratings from it. If I'm TNA, I'm not giving a shit about Impact ratings, and I'm really giving a shit about the horrible PPV buys. Hulk Hogan will want the TNA Title the moment he walks in the door, and will cry like a little bitch if he doesn't get his way. This would be a horrible signing for TNA, and Hulk Hogan needs to learn to fuck off.

He probably tried WWE first but Vince said "Fuck him, Flair cost us enough money and then ran with it."

As much as I am a huge Hogan mark, the man needs to learn that he's done. lol. Every single match he's been in since The Rock at Wrestlemania has caused him some sort of pain or injury. His spirit and mind are willing, but his body is done. He needs to realize this and stop shilling that he's "in the best shape of his life".

Lmao, people are comparing Hogan to Lashley, Angle, Nash? It'd be cool if he signed and actually did it to help professional wrestling, which I doubt he ever would. He wouldn't need to wrestle, just put him in any type of role. But it's pretty certain if he came to TNA it would put it on the map, and as much as people don't like to believe, I think he could really help with creative decisions and etc. Also, I doubt this guy can go at all, but I'm 90% sure he could move better than Kevin Nash. He also had a recent back surgery or whatever, so dunno.

The problem with Hogan though is that if he does come in...it's not going to be in a non-wrestling capacity. He's simply not willing to sit on the sides as a manager or in a non physical role as Flair is sometimes willing to do.....sometimes...

So what if Hogan sucks, TNA sucks way more. Hogan could really do more for TNA than it could for him. Hogan has celebrity status and about three TV shows under his resume. Most people don't even know what the fuck TNA is, you ask them if they've heard of TNA, they think you mean titty. The name Hulk Hogan is BIGGER than TNA. Not even a deabte.

Hogan would draw more money than any six guys TNA has, shit probably more than everyone there. It's not like the guy is irrelevant, he's been on TV in some shape or form for the past three years with American Glads, the Brooke nonsense and his Celeb. Wrestling show. People are still compelled to watch the guy. Nothing of the sort can be said about TNA, so shit, how much worse can TNA get? If your already awful you might as well try and make some money with someone who is far more recognizable than the whole fuckin company, his name value is the only thing that could really overcome that terrible booking that has kept TNA strapped to the same 1. whatever rating it's had forever.

Yah, it might not be what people want to see, but TNA has built itself on doing just that, they might as well step out of their small ratings comfort zone AND make some money on their home turf. Hogan =exposure, media buzz and a much larger audience that will tune in to see the one man, then you give them your best and try to keep those viewers. Smart business but let's see if TNA handles this right.
