Very interesting. Playstation players have had PS Now for a while, but it's nowhere near on the level of Xbox's Game Pass.

They'll basically be merging Plus and Now, and making it better.

Yea, that is a concern for me too Blaze. I would like to think they couldn't make it too expensive if they want to actually compete with Game Pass with their subscriber numbers. The tier thing kinda worries me, but I do like the sound of getting more older titles like PS1/PSP games.

That sounds interesting. I'd be willing to pay up to $100/yr for it but no more than that. Mainly because of the same issue I have with game pass. Yeah, there is a lot of games but only a handful I actually care to play. Although I am expanding my horizons a bit.

PS have been gouging too long....if Xbox wasn't such an unreliable machine, I would've jumped along time ago.

But I had to pay $80 for the Mass Effect rerelease and GTA one, that's some booshit.

The whole, "sony is heavily investing in cloud gaming" scares me. That was the reason I didn't like PSnow in the first place. I would much rather download games to my system and play them at my leisure than stream them in 720p.

I know it's harder for ps3 because it's like a completely different build or whatever so I guess if that's the only way to play them on ps4/5 that is fine but I hope they keep the rest as downloads like it has been.

Yeah, I'm not too fond of PS Now myself. Unless this was just a store bug, them having prices seems to indicate you can buy them outright rather than streaming. So hopefully that means having a downloadable option this time around for select PS3 titles.

I love PlayStation but that was the main reason I got a Series X is because I can basically have every generation of Xbox games on one system instead of owning all 5 playstations to play my games(granted you’d need just basically a ps5 and ps3 to get them all)

Microsoft knocked it out of the park with their approach to backwards compatibility. Having that option there is really nice, and I'm glad Sony at least realised that with PS4/PS5 crossing over, I do hope PS3 downloadables are coming as well. It could be a good turn around for them finally. Many games I missed out on, but I don't want to stream them, and I don't feel like buying another PS3 just to play one or two games.

Basically every PS2 title they put up for sale, I downloaded to my PS4 lol

I wouldn't mind some more of those classic titles too, especially if it's more Rockstar ones. Give me Midnight Club and shit.

If this had their back catalogue and was on PC then they would get too much of my money, and I would find too many excuses not to leave house. If it's not on PC then it could drive me toward a PS5.

Metal Gear Solid is on PC in remastered form

Also I do find it somewhat interesting that thus comes out around the same time that Microsoft announced the purchase of Activision-Blizzard. I don't think there's anything actually going on, but I would be remiss to not mention it.
