New info has emerged indicating that Sony's rival fighting game against Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. franchise might be called PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. The info also indicates that the game will be on display at this year's E3.
According to PlayStation LifeStyle, a user sent them in a tip indicating that a recent poll was asking gamers which name best suited Sony's upcoming mascot-based brawler. Without much of a surprise, the name PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale came out the winner. Now, this by no means indicates that this will be the final name for the game but it's a good indication of the direction for the name.
Now, for those of you wondering if the game is even real, you might remember that earlier this year SuperBot Entertainment leaked a few screenshots of some Sony mascots in some fighting stances back in November of last year.
According to PlayStation LifeStyle they're putting a peg on the All-Stars Battle Royale to debut at this year's Electronics Entertainment Expo. It would be a nice gesture from Sony if that were the case, especially considering that they won't be unveiling the PlayStation 4 at this year's E3.
