WCW was meant to be a separate brand, they had tentative dates scheduled on the 13th 20th & 27th of June.

In all honestly, no. Angle/Taker would have been awesome back at WM22 (well, it WAS awesome at No Way Out 2006) but I wouldn't want to see Angle get a shot at the streak present day. Sting vs Cena would be OK, but I'm not creaming my pants over it.

Further Explaining on the Point, I read somewhere that they were considering giving WCW Raw or Smackdown as it's A Show with the WWE's being the other show. This would lead to Fans threatening to get refunds which led to the canning of the Idea and the birth of the Invasion angle.

Not so much a plan as something that was rumored to happen.

Before Cena's rapper gimmick took off rumor was that his head was very close to the chopping block, aka being fired. Imagine that.

I remember hearing about that, if I recall correctly Jericho vouched for him and helped Cena keep his job.

I've never heard that Batista was supposed to win either, but it wouldn't surprise me if Taker did offer the streak to him. He's offered it to others before and if he was willing to let Kane beat him at Wrestlemania XX on Taker's first night back as The Dead Man (and thank fuck neither Kane nor Vince let that happen), then I could see him being fine with Batista beating him as well.

the only guy i know for sore he offer to was randy orton no else was EVER offer to the undertaker! Angles never offer b/c he was never going to face Taker at WM22 like people think he was! Rey won the Rumble! It was never going to have been!

Kane was offered the streak at Wrestlemania 20. Kane has come out and said this and he's known as a pretty honest and swell guy, so I'm willing to take him at his word. I know Angle has said some pretty questionable things in interviews before (like saying that every match he has in TNA is a classic :lool:) but given the enormous amount of respect that pretty much everyone has for Undertaker, I'm willing to believe that Angle probably wouldn't come out and say something like this about Taker unless it were true. And it's not like they decided the second that Eddie died that Mysterio was gonna win the Rumble and then the WHC at WM22. It could have been (and probably was) something that was debated over and over again up until Rumble time. Cena/HHH was the actual main event of Mania that year anyway, so one possibility discussed could have been HHH winning the Rumble to earn a shot against Cena while Mysterio and Orton battled in a grudge match. Just saying.
