Pick ems Championship?

So, something I thought might be fun: A pick ems title! (not a full blown league championship)

The rules would be:

• Each PPV the card is posted as a thread. people then post their predictions on who wins the matches.
• You will receive one point per correct answer and no points for a wrong answer.
• Whoever predicts the most correct results in a show wins the title and will be expected to defend it using this same process at the next PPV.
• If two people score the same amount of points for any given show then the person that posted their predictions first wins the title....
• ...unless one of those people is the Champion. The Champions advantage states that in the event of a tie the title remains with them.
• The card for each show will be taken from Wikipedia.
• A signature (and admin permitting some sort of special title for our profiles) will be created for the reigning champion to show their dominance over the rest of the ham 'n' eggers on the forum.
• Another thread will be created detailing the roll call of champions, recording the show on which they won the title and how many successful defences they make before losing it.

Think of this as a tv title to the Prediction Championship main title....

Anybody interested? - given how late in the day this is for WrestleMania I've already put a thread up over here [clicky] listing the matches for Wrestlemania detailed on Wikipedia. If nobody makes predictions except me then I'll just proclaim myself the Best in the World (So Click the link to join in!!!)

We actually have a prediction league here: https://wrestlingsmarks.com/forums/prediction-league.149/ we just never got around to scoring them and declaring winners so we'd just predict for fun

I think it'd be cool if you did this but followed some of our formatting like picking a value for the matches you're more confident and less confident (which results in less ties). I'd be cool if you didn't throw in bonus questions and just did matches, especially if it makes it easier, but the bonus questions are fun as well.

With it being so late tho, just run 'Mania like you're doing. I don't think anyone would complain about that, we might be able to start this back up for real when things get back to normal in the world anyway. And good job getting it up since a prediction thread was so far from my mind, I barely even remembered 'Mania was today

Yeah, I took a look at that before going ahead and posting this thread because I didn't want to step on any toes- I'm thinking this is a way less complex version, certainly one that will be easier to take part in and score.

From what I read that's a league, presumably the person with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion? - which means 12 months (or however long a season is) worth of predicting before a champion is crowned. With this, the person with the most points (or in the event of a tie that answers quickest) in each PPV wins the title. Which means that you might win it at Wrestlemania and then lose it to me @ whatever the next ppv is (as an example).

Same idea, simpler rules, more scope for more people to win the title and build up a bit of history with it. Don't get me wrong - I like the league format and the different questions, but that looks like it would be a bugger to score properly without watching all of every ppv (which, when the world isn't in lockdown, I rarely get to do)...

I think with the way this is defended at each PPV it makes it much easier for anyone to come in at any show and have a shot.
