I'm not sure why they brought out Cena. It was pretty random lol, but honestly, thats the only thing that Heyman was right about. Flair deserved the tribute at HOF, WM, and RAW. He is a great competitor, and it was a beatiful thing to see him retire while he is still alive and healthy. For once wrestling fans got to see a run from beginning to end

I cant say I disagree with anything Heyman said except maybe about Cena. I think that Cena going to the ring and paying tribute made sense because he is the face of WWE right now. Ric has also stated time and again how much respect he has for Cena so yea. Jericho though made no sense whatsoever as much as I like him he was out of place. I also thought Batista didnt make much sense (and yes I realize the Evolution connection) but whatever. The Fuel song still makes me wanna puke though, honestly the lame music was really a downer.

Batista and Flair are very, very close. Flair said in his speech at the HOF that he lives vicariously through Batista now, so that wasn't just an evolution thing they really are close. Y2J has a lot of respect for Flair and they wrestled together at WCW for 3 years, i think it was, and for however long it was in the WWE, 6 or something, so him coming out made since. Cena makes sense only because he's the face of the company, has nothing to do with Flair imo. Would have rathered to have Show, Orton and Edge in the ring than Cena, all have much closer and more personal relationships with Flair than Cena.

Ok Cena shouldn't of been in the ring but Orton should of and maybe break character a little bit more, he wasn't even clapping when the camera panned around. Even when Taker came out, was the slow walk and whole routine needed necessary? Just come down and shake hands.

Reading the responses to this thread boggles me. What the fuck.

WWE gave Flair one hell of a send off and people are nitpicking about music and who was in the ring and who wasn't?

First of all the farewell was on TV and it was done to suit both Flair and the audience. Oh so this heel didn't clap and Cena was in the ring with the closest friends and family is just stupid as hell. I'm pretty sure Ric flair doesn't need a bunch of fans or Paul Heymen to tell him how his god damn Raw farwell should of been.

The only time Vince has broken kayfabe on TV is when Owen died. He's not going to break it but he'll let it flex. Hence why the heels were coming out with the faces and you saw Edge clapping right beside CM Punk and why Taker or Vince himself didn't come out. Vince was the god damn person who made him retire and some of you are asking why he wasn't there. God damn ppl

He sure let kayfabe flex though if you actually watched the thing.

it was a great farwell for a great wrestler and as the farewell told, a great friend.

long live flair
