The Chad Dukes radio show in Washington, DC is reporting that WWE has signed Tough Enough competitor Patrick Clark to a WWE developmental deal.
PWInsider.com has confirmed independently that Clark is being signed to a deal as soon as he completes the standard medical testing. Clark was at the WWE Performance Center for a tryout several weeks back. The word we are hearing is that Lita, who coached him during Tough Enough and is now working as a Producer for the company, was a big factor in Clark getting another look from the company.
Clark, 19, was trained by Maryland Championship Wrestling and gave a very good, passionate showing for himself on the most recent season of Tough Enough before his passion got the better of him and he was surprisingly eliminated after snapping at fellow competitor ZZ. Clark had recently won the MCW Tag Team championship with Lio Rush but Rush lost the belts last night in a handicap match.
Previously, WWE has signed Tough Enough season winners Sara Lee and Josh Bredl as well as season finalists ZZ and Amanda Saccomanno.
