“Continuing to just like kinda catch up on life as a whole. Post-Money in the Bank, pre-Night of Champions…was getting pretty exhausted there. So shout out to everybody at WWE for looking out for me too. Very, very thankful."

Dude needs a rest.

That's not knocking him in the slightest. I find him incredibly entertaining, even if he's a little much. But he is on-air live for 3 hours every day on ESPN/ESPN+/Youtube from his studio in Indianapolis, and he's then live on Monday Night Raw wherever Raw eminates from (MAYBE he does his show live from RAW on Mondays but there's times he flies out after his ESPN show at 3PM. Then he does PLEs, and between August and January he's live on Saturdays from wherever ESPN College Gameday is from. All that with a wife and toddler at home

He's gotta slow down at some point and recharge. The human body isn't meant to work like that without rest.

“I could just feel it. I’m like, ‘Oh my god, my brain is not operating right now.’ I had talked to others that had maybe experienced mental exhaustion before whenever they have had it. I’ve talked to them and I’ve been like, ‘I’m staring down what you went through there’. I knew this moment was coming. I knew it was going to happen at some point and it happens to people. So, I talked to people about it happening and what they went through and as Money in the Bank was happening, I was like, ‘Oh my god, this is it, I’ve finally hit it.'”
“(Raw) is an honor to be a part of, but…I stopped going to Monday night Raw, so that took away two planes and a two-hour sleep night a week away from the schedule. And it was like, stack a couple of weeks, I feel like a human again."
“…I will always love the WWE and I miss it, but I didn’t think I would have made it. I was eyeing football season around the corner and I was, like, ‘I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to survive this thing."

The man is the hardest working man on TV pretty much. I can't blame him for finally saying enough is enough lets slow down a bit. Dude has earned a rest.

I look forward to him coming back to WWE at some point.
