Haven't seen too many of these tbh, although as far as surprises and general notes go:

- Nothing for Robert Redford, despite being heavily hyped for Best Actor
- No nominations at all for Rush, Inside Llewyn Davis or Blue Is The Warmest Colour
- American Hustle follows Russell's previous film (Silver Linings Playbook) by being nominated across all acting categories, as well as Best Picture and Director
- Jennifer Lawrence is the youngest actress ever to receive 3 actress nominations

Pretty awesome that Blue is the Warmest Colour didn't get a nom for Best Foreign Film. That gives The Hunt a much better shot at winning, even though The Great Beauty just picked up the Globe. I can't believe I forgot to mention The Hunt on my Top 10 of the year, it would have easily cracked the top 5.

EDIT: Also, just noticed that with his nomination for The Wolf of Wall Street, Jonah Hill now has more acting nominations than both Robert Redford and Gary Oldman. So yes, if you needed further proof that the Academy is total and complete bullshit...there you have it.

Oh and Frozen will probably win because it breaks out in a song every 5 Fucking minutes. Would rather it be Monsters University with the nod over the Croods or Despicable Me 2
