It was miles below the original, and since they gave up the big reveal in the first movie, they had to find another twist to subvert people's expectations, but it wasn't as good in my opinion, I even felt it was a bit ridiculous at times.
Also, the finale felt a little flat, and the CGI weren't great. In the end, I'd say the best thing in this movie was the main actress' performance, she is still as creepy as she was in the original.
