Ok, so in this thread, like the other thread I will make in a few minutes, simply vote and post as to which series of movies you prefer: The original movie series of said franchise, or the rebooted series.

Note: For those who don't know, a rebooted series is when you reset a series, for example, Batman. Batman Begins is not a prequel to the other Batman films of the 80's/90's, but is a reboot, where they can establish their own timeline and sequence of events, and their own twists, while holding no regard to the previous films. This is different than say, some shit like Star Wars, where the newest films were prequels that were meant to be linked to the other films.

So, which do you prefer?
The original Batman Movie series (Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman and Robin) or the rebooted 21st century series (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and eventually a third installment (2011))?

Not really obvious. I've seen many people on various forums, at school, etc who like the old ones because they're "classics"... Im like you though, I like the new ones, by far.

I am not going to come out here and pull out the "original movies weren't like the comics and went against the comic storyline" because I dont know shit about the comics, but I will say this.

All the old batman movies, intentionally or not, had a comedy aura in it, and I just enjoy the darker style used in the new ones.

Have you seen Batman Returns? I swear that's the only one to show blood (when Penguin bite the guy's nose). The Reboot movies were better though.

Original ones are ruined by the fact that Batman kills people.

That and I mostly hate Tim Burton.

I think Batman and Batman Returns should be in a different category that Forever and Batman & Robin. The first 2 were decent. Batman Forever just plain blew. Batman & Robin was shitty, yet the fact that Uma Thurman is actually hot as Poison Ivy, Alicia Silverstone wears tight leather, and Arnold Schwarzenegger has some of the best/worst one liners in movie history make up for it.
