The original storyline plan was for CM Punk to go heel, and then win the title via Money in the Bank. The suggestion for Punk to win the title in a fluke-like fashion didn't go over too well at first, but arguments were made that since WWE decided on a youth movement and to shake things up, that Punk is the guy to push more than anyone else in the company. An argument made in Punk's favor is that he is more popular than he should have been given his push, not to mention that he sells far more merchandise than someone in his position should. Since Vince McMahon gave the green light for Punk to win the title, everyone in creative is suddenly 100% behind him. On the other hand, the road agent/"producers" were very quiet about the move as many of them don't think highly of Punk’s work. However, none of them will ever speak out against a Vince direction for fear of losing their job. Behind the scenes, Triple H, who has not been a supporter of Punk dating back to his arrival in the company, recently joked that Shawn Michaels will need to heel so Punk can have someone who can work him through a world title match. The directive of Punk often not looking too strong on television is from Vince. Vince believes that by making Punk cling onto the belt against "better" guys, it will cause fans to get behind him in the long run. This was the very same idea he had with Rey Mysterio, although Vince was never behind him as anything but a transitional champion.

I'll ignore what Triple H said just for the thought of seeing HBK vs CM Punk. As for Vince, I think they did that in 2000 or 1999 when Kurt Angle won the belt and they had him as the underdog, until winning the big 6man HIAC

Punk Heel? Wofa.

So all of no where the creative team are 100% behind Vince in fear of losing their job. Wow.

This is kinda what Mysterio was doing except that Mysterio actually won his matches by pinfall!!???!!!!????!!!!????!! Punk get's bitched slap and wins his matches by DQ all the time. If they coping Mysterio. They fucked up somewhere.

I would love HBK vs. Punk. I think HBK would beat the hell out of him, but that's not how it would go on TV :(

Didn't Punk turn heel on ECW like a year ago? Anyway, Punk is an ok worker. He isn't impressive on the mic, but I think he is capable of putting on a great match. He was able to do it with Batista of all people (despite the shit finish to both mathes that they had) and I'm glad WWE is pushing him.

There are so many mistakes on your post I don't even know where to start.

Punk is a good heel. He was good back at ROH and gave us a glimpse at ECW when he "joined" the New Breed.

Creative IS 100% behind Punk, sure, they are ever since Vince is, but in the end they are. The ones that don't like Punk are the road agents and Triple H :shifty:

As for Mysterio, well, Punk at least wins his matches, and gets offense while doing it. And when the match ends, it isn't as if Punk were seconds away of losing.

With Mysterio, he lost cleanly to Mark Henry and The Great Khali. He lost to RVD back in WWE/ECW Head to Head, he didn't go over Sabu, and his so called victory against JBL came after getting his ass kicked for 20 straight minutes.

I don't know if it's just me but Punk is better stood than Mysterio and is getting booked better.

I know Punk's a good heel the first three words were sarcasm. Let's look at that now.

Punk's got offense against everyone he's faced as same for Mysterio. (Errrrr..... cept for Khali) Mysterio losing to RVD was acceptable for the reason of RVD being pushed to be WWE Champion. Which is why Sabu and Cena's match was thrown out to. To not make Sabu seem better then Mysterio. Mysterio didn't go over Sabu, but he didn't put him over. It was thrown out of a great match and that makes Rey respectable in his title reign for the fact that he took on all challengers. Which is the same with Punk. Punk made a match against Batista good. I understand where you getting at. But to me if people wanna take Punk's reign good is to have him go over a top contender without having help.

Isn't as if Punk is about to lose when the match is thrown out.... hmmm......

Batista Spinebustered him on the mat which cearly took Punk out. But Kane had to come and stop it. Second match with Batista, Tista got the advantage back and was preparing for Tistabomb and was attacked by JBL. After Getting chokedslam by Kane before the start of the match. In his match against JBL. JBL had the advantage and was preparing for the worse when CTC came in and distracted JBL by fighting his "Private" Secruity. To me the only good thing about Punk's title reign was breaking Snitsky's nose and being able to slim threw the crack and keeping his title. "Slim threw the crack and keeping his title" who does that remind you of? :g:

Anyways there's my four cents.

I like Punk as a heel, but I really don't think that it would work well with him in the WWE. The announcers are always going to play up the straight edge stuff, and I can't picture someone that has such a parent friendly gimmick would be cast as a bad guy.

as for Triple H bashing Punk, I'm thanking God that HHH moved to Smackdown. Punk's in ring work with WWE hasn't really impressed me, they need to let Punk wrestle like CM Punk, not like KENTA. CM Punk never really has had any promos that stood out to me too, because most of his promos are usually short. His best interviews are usually a special feature.

give us Jericho vs Punk WWE, thank you.

Punk was awesome as a heel in ROH, but his character was as someone who is too good for ROH. You can't really pull that character off in WWE. What is he going to say? That he signed a deal with TNA? Punk should sat face in WWE for a long time.

Punk Vs. Jericho is a train wreck waiting to happen. Remember when John Cena feuded with Jericho? The fans turned against Cena like sharks, and some people ever since then STILL are ragging on Cena, despite his improved ring work since then.

Punk Vs. Jericho is just asking for the fans to turn against Punk in favor or a Jericho World Title Reign. and if Jericho doesn't get it, Punk will be booed out of buildings for 8 months straight, guaranteed.

^^LOL with the dies or retires, although HBK says he doesn't want another title reign

The next challenger will probably be Orton when he returns, and either Cena, Jericho, Batista or HBK at Unforgiven, depending how Summerslam goes.

Kane might even be a challenger, he could possibly even win the title from Punk  I really think Kane has a chance to get a real World Title reign...other than a 1 day reign and an ECW Title reign.

That heel turn lasted for one week when he joined the New Breed, then turned on Elijah Burke the following week.
