I'm not sure you do, either.
I do, actually. The guy that’s worked 102 times is more of a workhorse than the guy that hasn’t wrestled in a month.

Especially if you’re going by Seth‘s character example of what a workhorse is. It’s a guy who excepts all challenges. You can’t turn down the challenge, and then still be a workhorse.

You created a discussion topic to create discussion and people are just simply disagreeing with you.

I think the main issue is you often will state some thing, but then won’t really expound on it. Like I asked you what you meant by Priesr not being a workhorse and you haven’t explained.
What more do I need to explain? If he was a workhorse, he wouldn't have cashed in MITB on a wounded champion and taken the easy way out. Say what you want about Gunther, but you have plenty of time to prepare for a match against him.

That seems illogical to me, that's like saying someone isn't a racer because they turned down one race.

Ah, so your thesis is based on someone using the money in the bank contract like 98% of people before him. Even though he’s worked every week since and doesn’t turn away challenges his entire work ethic doesn’t count because you don’t like a WWE match concept. Gotcha.

That’s your opinion and I can’t change it.

I think this entire thread can just be summed up with you just don’t like money in the bank. If they had given Damien a match on Raw the night after WrestleMania instead of a cash-in, the proceeding 3-months which would be booked exactly the same would be viewed by you completely differently simply because you don’t like the concept in how he initially won it. Which then you’d presumably no longer dislike the match with Gunther.

Like I said previously, I’m not going to tell you that your opinion is wrong. I’m just gonna say I disagree with it because I think judging an entire three months as champion by one minute at the beginning of it, it’s just not the way I typically look at pro wrestling, but that’s OK. Different strokes for different folks.

My problem with MITB is that it's mostly cashed in the same way, I'd like to see a little more variation with people announcing it ahead of time. The point of the story is apparently Priest turning face because he wants to do it on his own, but I have a hard time buying that when he took advantage of McIntyre at Mania after he was beat up by Punk. Even though McIntyre is a clear heel, he makes a lot of great points.

You seem to understand the story the WWE is telling you. It’s up to you whether you want to except it at face value or not. The last thing I can really say is babyfaces have cashed in using the briefcase exactly like priest and the other 29 holders. Utilizing the concept the way it’s designed. It really doesn’t say anything about the winner’s character one way or the other.

Like I’m pretty sure I mentioned at the beginning of this conversation. We all agree Seth Rollins is a workhorse, and when he had the briefcase, he also cashed in on an already weekend champion.

I understand what they're trying to tell me, but I don't have to agree with it. It's no different than watching any other show on television and disagreeing with the writing.

I mean, you can dislike the writing, but the writing is what it is. Lol.

But again, the only reason why I disagreed with you so strongly is because again you are only focusing on one thing at the beginning of his reign. If you were to remove that money in the bank contract, I have no doubt you think priest is a workhorse. But because of one thing at the beginning of his reign, you disqualify everything in the story after. That’s your prerogative, though. For sure.

One way or the other, though you seem to like Gunther and he’s definitely winning the belt at SummerSlam so priest’s title reign that you don’t like will be over soon.

The MITB cash in just ruins this whole thing to me, it's like a plot hole. When the rest of Judgement Day do turn on Priest, I won't feel sorry for him.

Why would he waste his energy when he's got a big time match to prepare for? At best, he'd just be doing squash matches.
Because you say he's a... WORKHORSE. And Workhorses... Work?

i’m pretty sure at this point the basis for workhorse is winning king of the ring instead of money in the bank. No other qualifiers needed.
