Somehow it lasted eight years or so

It was compared to what came before, but I prefer to the Super Bowl Ring WWE belts.

HBK vs. Taker was better than Trips vs. Taker though. To me. Had a whole different vibe. You had the end of the stoic Jericho character vs. Edge. Batista vs. Cena as kind of an era defining match. Trips vs. Sheamus. The Legacy three way.

Should have brought back the Undisputed, it only got 3 years.

Then 27 felt way more commercial with Rock's involvement and the Snooki match and Trips vs. Taker feeling like the only semi-meaningful actual match on there.

I mean, I don't like any of those Taker matches so that'll be lost on me. And I'm sure the stories were different, but how WWE produced all those Manias felt the same to me.

To me 26 felt more organic and 27 was, like Chris I think said, just a commercial for 28.
