NoDQ.com > TNA > Fan not happy with TNA Lockdown Fanfest
Posted by Mark Virginia on 04/18/2010 at 03:58 PM

Joe Cinocca sent in the following:

I wanted to take this time to personally thank Dixie Carter, Don West, Jeremy Borash and the entire TNA organization for completely slapping the taste of pro wrestling from my mouth.

I have never participated in a wrestling event, so poorly run from top to bottom, as I did for TNA's Lockdown Fanfest.

I paid $300 for a "Main Event" Package.
I drove 7 hours each way.
I systematically watched TNA delay each signing session and not makeup the time for the fans by pushing it back.
I watched them treat Baron Von Raschke, Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart & Dory Funk, Jr. like complete garbage by moving them from the main room to a lobby because they "didn't expect the overwhelming crowds in attendance to get the autographs of Sting, Flair and Hogan."

So, these wrestlers are stuck in a small hallway and they only signed for half the time announced. The fans that got through the beginning of the enormous Hulk Hogan line weren't able to get the elder wrestling legend autographs because they closed up shop and left. Who could blame them?

The TNA staff was rude, the volunteers changed the rules every 30 minutes. The package I paid for was to guarantee me 2 autographs of all wrestlers in attendance at Fan Fest and "front of the line privileges" the entire day.

The volunteers simply took 1 person from the Main Event line and then 1 person from the Red package line and went back and forth. There was no privileges, we were just in a bonus line. The wrestlers would do multiple poses, take mulitple photographs with people at the beginning of the line, but by the time the line had moved on, we were relegated to just 1 picture.

The free photographs were out of control. It's supposed to be you and the wrestler side by side, quickly. Not Conchairto shots, Full Nelson mocking or "vouge" posing. I stand in a line for 2 hours for Hulk Hogan while volunteers cut in line and ask how their hair is before they get their "perfect" shot.

Overpromised and Underdelivered. If I wanted to be totally ripped off for several thousand dollars, I could do my own wrestling show in my own hometown and get screwed over by my local wrestling crew. I didn't need to drive a combined 14 hours for the right to get taken for so much money.

I have no desire to watch, talk, trade or do anything involving professional wrestling/sports entertainment.
This was the final straw. Thank you Dixie Carter for the 1st class screwing.

I wanted to go to BFG Fanfest in 2008 when it was in Chicago, but the price alone for admission was more than the ticket to the actual show.

^ Agreed, there's no reason for him to spend this much money on a joke company, he should have known better

The main focus on this Fan Fest was the legends. Considering I wasn't watching then, or even know who most of the people were besides the TNA wrestlers, I wouldn't have gone. Plus $300 is enough to turn me away. Sucks for this guy.

What a crybaby. Didn't the 300 dollar package also include a front row seat at the PPV? Which he doesn't even mention. The fanfest thing is a bonus to TNA fans.

lol. I didn't know that. We'll see him tonight cheering his ass off, completely forgetting his hatred he showed in that letter.
