Yep, was about to mention those ones myself, as their are some who just call them one hit wanders. Makes you think "Wonder where they'd be if they kept them." though right? I could see them being in Spurs' position myself. Good enough with the team they made themselves to get up to the 5th/6th places, earn themselves enough money because of that high spot, do well in the cups to get more money to invest in more good players, and then start to challenge for 4th etc.

Didn't they need the money though otherwise they'd go bust west ham would have an awesome team if they kept all there players that av come through over the years

Probably did need to sell a few, but I'm unsure about all of them. Sometimes it's worth just taking the risk imo. And yeah West Ham had a fantastic academy; not sure what it's like atm though but it used to be incredible.

Since when is Man City's good? I think it's probably decent like most prem teams are now, but it's not really worth a mention imo. Ajax is a fantastic shout, and I'd put it 2nd to Barca for best in the world.

Who? I know Giggs nearly went there but I can't think of anyone who came through cities.

It's so bad that I can't even remember who it is. It's on the tip of my tongue...

Barcelona are actually ranked as the top academy in the world apparently. Real Madrid have a good academy (both of them are expected). Some unexpected ones which definitely have good academies are Lyon and Rennais (both French) -- lots of good players originate from there.

Sure. I know quite a lot of the Barca academy players as it's a lil mini passion of mine to watch their philosophy so young.

Don't want to imagine this!

I never thought he actually signed for them, I always thought it was a case of he was just recommended to them. You got me there.

Speaking of Barca, wtf went wrong with Bojan? He was supposed to be their next star but he ended up at Roma didn't he?
