So the slammys and the xmas episode were basically anniversary shows which didn't build for RR? You would think with the extra weeks and RAW being 3 hours that they would build it up perfectly for a big PPV. #WWELogic

They built some for the rumble. The Ryback vs Punk thing continued with Punk playing a bit of a grinch one could say. Also a ton of Dolph and AJ backstage segments I guess could count as build. Smackdown seems to pick up the build slack from the spoilers I read.

That wasn't build, I'm the biggest Punk fanboy here and even I was bored during his segment, it was just filler. The Dolph and AJ segments were funny but mainly just there to make us care about AJ as a heel. There was basically no build up to the rumble on either show IMO.

That's what you get for having TV drama writers try and book a wrestling show. They put all the focus on "emotional" angles.

Even the emotional angles make no sense and are written poorly. I would rather the writers of Eastenders write RAW to be honest.

The South Park crew could probably write and book a better show. They need to have a mix of TV writers and wrestling bookers on the team. bookers to come up with the feuds and the writers to translate them to TV.
