Hey everyone......Signed up, last night. I had been looking for a decent message board, for wrestling, for quite a while, and happened to find this one, via Reddit, last night. Did a little creeping, and liked what I saw. Layout is nice, and judging by what I did read, the posters don't come across as 16 year old trolls. Sorry. I was dealing with Disqus, on Wrestlezone, so there was a bit of trepidation. Even the bit I did see here, it didn't feel like trolling, for the sake of it. Just came across as good natured ribbing. Which is a good thing!
So, about me, and my obsession with the crazy world of pro wrestling.......
I've been watching, my whole life, and I'l l be 43, in May. My earliest memories, my Dad took me to an NWA Detroit show, in Flint, Michigan. The memories are extremely vague, but I do recall The Sheik, Bobo Brazil, Pampero Firpo, and Flyin Fred Curry being there. My absolute obsession with wrestling started with the WWF national expansion, though. SNME, Brawl To End It All, Wrestlemania 1, etc. I didn't get introduced to JCP/NWA until the later 80's, and proceeded to fall in absolute, full blown mark, love with the Four Horsemen. I'm pretty certain the first I ever saw of them, and JCP, was a GAB vhs tape of the first War Games. Bash 87?
Now? I watch everything. I either have, or have had, just about every streaming service available. Currently, I just have WWE and High Spots. And I use Youtube to watch more obscure stuff, like old WWC, NWA, etc.
Here's where I tell you who my favorites are, but beyond The Horseman, Andre and SCSA, it would probably be easier to tell you who I dislike, and even then, I'd be hard pressed. Like I said, I just love pro wrestling.
So, fire away with any questions, and I'll gladly answer them, and again, pretty certain I'm glad I found this place, and look forward to chatting it up with everyone!
