You are right. The World Title was won by George Hackenschmidt on May 4 1905 in a tournament by defeating Tom Jenkins.
True, Hackenschmidt won the original world title. Gohan insinuates that it is the exact same as the one contested today. Which is not 100 % true. The one contested today is an heir to it. Not the exact same belt.
