I was being sarcastic. The promo was fantastic, I was just waiting for someone to somehow criticize it lol.

I thought his promo last night was a desperate attempt to try and regain his long lost momentum. Mission failed. It was OK, but nothing spectacular. I think we all were just waiting for Rock to come out. You could tell the crowd was. Punk just trying to cling to the spotlight but he knows his time is up.

To be fair it was the markiest crowd we've seen in a while, which was fantastic at first because they were loud marks - a rarity now - but somehow RAW seemed to rape their excitement, only Rock could come back and sort of revamp it. Even he got less noise than usual. This segment in New York would have been dope, I never understand why WWE don't plan these things in advance.

I think what silenced the crowd was the seeming roller coaster of match quality. You start off hot with Cena vs Dolph only to follow up with Kaitlyn vs Eve. Then later on in the show you had Hell no vs Road Scholars (two over teams who know how to get the crowd involved) followed by Sheamus vs Mahal, and how that match was booked kind off killed most of the shows momentum. I know that you usually put lower card matches between the big ones to allow the crowd to rest but they seemed to do it so much last night that the crowd got confused.
Does that make sense?

Yea that was my main problem was the awful timing. Even if you loved Punk you had to be sitting their like "man, this is dragging. When's Rock coming?". Wrong time wrong place for Punk to try and do 'THe Shoot volume 2"

He said a couple of things that made me go :vince: but overall he was just rambling and it was really bad for some stretches.

Completely agree.

And yeah the crowd's no-selling was making me like "Okay, hurry up Rock" as I wouldn't have been surprised if they started chanting boring, which would have completely ruined what I thought was an awesome segment.

I'm not voting in the poll because your shitty options don't represent my feelings on the promo.

Better than his shoot promo? No, let's not over-exaggerate. It was a good promo and it has made me hella pumped for Rock/Punk, but it'll be hard to top the shoot because of the shock value alone.

I'm not voting. I don't feel that the options represent the full spectra. I'm here for the discussion.
