Last night's episode of OVW Rise is available on YouTube. If you haven't watched it but want to be warned the rest of this post will contain spoilers from last night as it pertains to Saturday Night's Hard Reset.
Saturday night is OVW's next PPV special, Hard Reset. Interesting name since new owners recently took over the company and no big changes have been noticed on TV. Last night OVW Heavyweight Champion and scheduled challenger for the United States Championship at Hard Reset, Mt. Kadeem, announced that due to an injury he will be unable to compete at Hard Reset and also has to forfeit the Heavyweight Championship. An 18-man Royal Rumble-style Battle Royal was held to determine the challenger for Eric Surge's United States Championship. Like any good Royal Rumble-style match it featured a surprise competitor in the form of OVW alum and AEW superstar, Truth Magnum. The match was won by "Superior" Tony Evans who now goes on to Hard Reset.
Also last night, the Ladder Match for the vacant Rush Division Championship that was scheduled for Hard Reset took place and ended in a no-decision as Doug Basham, Tony Gunn, and Crixus of The Revolution attacked all eight competitors. The Ladder Match will take place once again at Hard Reset.
Following the attack on the Rush Division stars, The Revolution called out Kal Herro and his mystery partner for Hard Reset. Herro arrived along with his partner, Billy Gunn.
Here is the announced card for Hard Reset:
Kal Herro & Billy Gunn vs Crixus & Tony Gunn
If Herro & Billy win, then Herro gets five minutes alone with Doug Basham. If Crixus & Tony Gunn win, Herro must leave OVW.
OVW United States Championship
Eric Surge (c) vs Tony Evans
Ladder Match for Vacant Rush Division Championship
Chris Exodus vs Justice Davis vs JJ Lawson vs The Obsidian Angel vs Brandon Davis vs Icon Lee vs Showtime Shanklin vs Elijah Erros vs Evil Z

Super Z vs Star Rider
