O'h How Times Have Changed

Remember the times of Rick Flair leading one promotion in one area? remember when WWE were Feuding with WCW? Oh how the times have changed, indeed. Now-A-Days WWE is staying strong and now TNA and ROH are coming up the rear what's left in it for the indy promotions anymore? it used to be a way of coming into the business, to train and to Work there way to WWE and WCW. Now its a different story, the only show's people want to watch and participate in is WWE and TNA/ ROH. So what is the problem solver. Soon enough People are not going to want to wrestle because they arent in WWE/TNA and arent getting enough money. WWE are ruining the profession in a way. seriousley, would you want to earn 25 dollars a week wrestling 4 times when you could be in WWE?

That is a stupid point. You are saying that people would stop wrestling in the indies because they aren't in WWE and eventually will just stop wrestling altogether if they are not in WWE, TNA or ROH.

Then, if they do that, how the heck do the expect to be signed by any of those companies? By the beaty of their faces?

First off, most people wrestle because it's their passion, most of them could've gone to college and lived a regular life working from 9 to 5. But they chose to take bumps for a living, no matter how crappy things get. I respect that.

What's left for the Indy Promotions? You mentioned ROH as a big 3 promotion, but in actuality, it is the biggest Indy fed in the US. There's nowhere for people to make a name? CM Punk, Samoa Joe, Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Alex Shelley, and Homicide made their name in places like ROH, JAPW, and IWA-MS, just to name a few. Even Jeff and Matt Hardy, Jamie Noble, Jimmy Yang, Raven and countless others stayed credible in Indies too. What's left for the indies are some of the better workers on this side of the world, just look at Chikara, PWG, UWA-HC, ans JAPW, I would say that their wrestling product is on par with WWE and even better, even without the billions of dollars. And you still have Japan and Mexico, where guys can make a name too.

I think you're trying to say "Bring Back The Territories," but that's something that doesn't have to be done because the easiness of watching or buying something online.

I think what TSS is trying to get at, how Indys have been overpopulated and devalued, and with the rising of ROH as a super Indy, why would Human Tornado bother with some smaller Indys, when he could just work for ROH.

Problem is, like mentioned you have to work your way up the chain. You just don't get into ROH, its actually kinda hard now. You don't just get into WWE/TNA. Like said before, you have to make a name for yourself.

I agree with everything you said, but I don't necessarily think he wants the Territories back. What I got out of his post is, every wrestler and anyone inspiring to become a wrestler will just give up because they wouldn't make it in WWE or TNA. Which is foolish if you ask me, there's plenty of Independent Promotions to work for and make a decent living working for said promotion. PWG, ROH, CZW, IWA-MS, Chikara, JAPW, Pro Wrestling NOAH, AJPW, AAA, CMLL, NJPW, Full Impact Pro, SHIMMER, Pro Wrestling ZERO1-MAX, ect ect... I could literally go on and on. You know, not every wrestler's dream is to make it to WWE or TNA... Like the saying goes different strokes for different folks.


But then I could be totally off, because quite frankly I don't get what he's trying to say.
