We're over 18 months removed from Tony Khan announcing he purchased Ring of Honor. At the time it was perhaps more of a video library for a potential streaming service, but TK has continued to produce wrestling shows under the ROH banner.

A few notable items from this TK era of ROH:
- ROH titles are seen on AEW television weekly
- ROH titles are competed for during AEW and some PPV events
- The ROH World Championship is getting lumped into the "Continental Classic" tournament, potentially retiring the ROH Title
- ROH does their shows at Universal Studios with younger talents/bigger ROH names of the past

There was a time ROH was the hottest indy ticket in the world with the Bullet Club headlining shows and was the reason we got CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, etc.

So what do you think of how Tony Khan has handled and presented ROH since purchasing the company? Do you wish Craig Silkin still had it?

I think today's product isn't where it needs to be but tge crowds are much better and less sad. I'm still hopeful it'll get back to being a really good show if and when it gets its own identity back.

I do think the roh world title was elevated. Not a fan of mjf n Cole as champs . Not a fa. Of champs not on roh TV. Love love love Athena n all the women stories

It was never going to be peak ROH but like Chris said, it’s better than it was towards the end of the original.

The effort hasn’t been as bad as WWE trying to resurrect ECW but there was no way they could recreate the vibe of peak/prime ROH

Yeah I have plenty of complaints about the current run but I also can't stress enough how bleak it looked before TK bought it. Sinclair promised this "reimagining" after a 4 month break that they were so confident in, everyone acted as if Final Battle 2021 was going to be the last ever show even though they technically already had one scheduled later. I fear for what that rebrand would have looked like but tbf we'll never know

And fwiw that's nothing against what the product even was in 2021, I actually really liked it. I just think Sinclair was going to completely slash what little was left of the budget before it died out

Also another note. I think I actually liked Universal era TK ROH a lot more than Collision era, but a lot of that may have just been those first few months of tapings having more attention put towards them

The difference with WWE's ECW though is they went out of their way to tell you that it wasnt going to be anything like the original outside of a hardcore match here and there.

Also if you were going to tell me that Tony Khan was going to buy ROH and just throw random matches together for Honor Club without any real proper storytelling, I'd be in the camp of letting ROH rest in peace. People have suggested they should have made Collision the ROH show but without the actual ROH branding so WBD didnt have a bitch fit about it, to which I agree.

Yo I actually really like this idea. Keep Dynamite as your main show, you have Rampage already as your B-show, but then Collision/ROH on Saturdays be your NXT-like show.
