Far too many "firings" and people being written off of tv to keep track of!- Part of the following item was left out of last night's SmackDown spoiler report.
Two fans in attendance at last night's WWE SmackDown tapings from Cleveland, Ohio noted that Drew McIntyre was "fired" by Teddy Long due to his loss to World Heavyweight Champion Edge in the opening match.
McIntyre tried to attack Edge at the start of the show when Edge was talking about Vickie Guerrero being fired the previous week. Teddy Long came out and decided that this week, Drew should put his job on the line.
McIntyre, Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler have all been "fired" from SmackDown in recent weeks. Kelly Kelly was also fired but brought back by Teddy Long.
EDGE & CHRISTIAN out:*Booker T, Michael Cole and Josh Mathews are the announcers. Booker got a huge pop coming out.
*Smackdown opens with World champion Edge coming out and challenging Alberto Del Rio to a fight. Del Rio and Brodus Clay come to the ring. Edge nails them but is cut off by Clay. They work him over but Christian makes the save. The heels overcome the best friends until referees break them up. Teddy Long declares there is going to be a Tag main event tonight.
*Kane defeats Wade Barrett by DQ when the Corre attacks. Big Show comes out with a chair to make the save. Teddy Long comes out and decrees it is now Show and Kane vs. Barrett and Heath Slater with the rest of The Corre banned from ringside. That match ends in a DQ win for Show and Kane when The Corre come out anyway. Show gets the chair and nails Ezekiel Jackson and Wade Barrett as the others powder out of the ring.

Got these spoilers from a couple of sources because some were more detailed.* World Heavyweight Champion Edge comes to the ring to open the show. He'll face Brodus Clay in the opening bout. 4. Kane and Big Show defeated The Corre via DQ. Gabriel pulled the referee out of the ring after Show chokeslammed Slater. Barrett and Jackson came in after. The Corre continued the attack.
5. Jack Swagger defeated Chris Masters. Not enough time to make it good but served its purpose. Swagger won with the ankle lock, then Michael Cole came out of his Cole Mine and did the ankle lock on Masters as well.
6. Rey Mysterio defeated Ted DiBiase (w/Maryse). A good showing from both guys with a few botched spots here and there. Ted continues to lose, but at least he made it to TV this week!
7. Christian defeated Albert Del Rio in a steel cage match. Solid main event. Both guys worked really hard. There were some cool spots and some near falls that really had the crowd going. Christian won by escaping the cage when the two got tangled up. Before Del Rio could attack Christian, Edge appeared in Del Rio's car. He threatened to destroy it before Brodus Clay made the save and the two destroyed Edge with a con-chair-to on Edge's arm to close the show.

Even though I love Kofi, I love Wade being IC champ even more. I'd rather him start by winning the midcard belt and then eventually the WHC or WWE belt as opposed to what they did with Sheamus and giving him the reverse treatment.WWE SmackDown (Airing Friday on SyFy):
