Sheamus beat Khali is awesome news. Bryan having a new theme is interesting, just as long as it doesn't suck. If he's got the final countdown, I will mark hard. Natalya turning heel is interesting. They're obviously going down the 'I took you under my wing and all you do is lose every week' route. Look's like an interesting SD.

The rumour going around is that Bryans new theme is, or is as close to the theme they used for last year's Night of Champions PPV

Also, it seems Nattie could be aligning with Beth because she referenced her in a promo after squashing AJ about Beth being right and the days of the cuties are over.

Yeah, just reading a more detailed set of spoilers on PWInsider. I watched Survivor Series 2008 the other day, and forgot that Natalya and Victoria used to be aligned with each other. So Beth & Natalya together is going to be interesting to watch.

I wanted to add some more notes to your SmackDown spoilers from the tapings in Lexington, KY last night.

* Natalya's heel turn on AJ Lee was pretty good. She spoke into the camera and said "Beth Phoenix I'm with you. These days of the cute Divas are over."

* Zack Ryder's segment was his State of the Showski.

* Randy Orton did a backstage segment talking about his anger management issues and beating Christian at SummerSlam.

* The new Diva backstage with Teddy Long was NXT Rookie Aksana, now a brunette. I barely caught it but it looked like she was trying to put the moves on Teddy.

* Triple H hitting Zack Ryder with a Pedigree off-camera surprised everyone. Triple H came out and said the hardest part of his new job was dealing with talents and brought up CM Punk, John Cena and Randy Orton before starting to put Ryder down, cutting the cameras mid-way. Triple H had the lights dimmed, cameras cut and said he was about to relieve some stress in the form of a Pedigree on Ryder.

* Vladimir Kozlov was taken out on a stretcher after Mark Henry squashed him and beat him up, injuring his leg.

* Johnny Curtis had a promo that aired and he will finally debut next week.

Thanks to Melody for the following WWE SmackDown spoilers from tonight’s tapings in Sacramento, California. These will air this Friday on SyFy:

* Triple H opens the show and announces Randy Orton vs. The Great Khali, Daniel Bryan vs. Alberto Del Rio and Cody Rhodes vs. Ezekiel Jackson with the Intercontinental Title on the line for tonight. World Heavyweight Champion Christian comes out and wants to talk to the WWE COO. Christian threatens to sue Triple H if he doesn’t change the SummerSlam match against Randy Orton. Triple H says Christian has no respect and will still face Orton on Sunday and be in action tonight.

* Sheamus beat Christian by count out. Christian walked off and stood at the ramp as the referee counted him out.

* Natalya and Beth Phoenix beat AJ Lee and Kaitlyn. Face pop for Beth and Natalya here. Beth pinned AJ while Natalya put Kaitlyn in the Sharpshooter.

* Backstage segment with Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes arguing with Teddy Long. Zack Ryder and Aksana are there.

* Backstage segment with Mark Henry and Johnny Curtis.

* Sin Cara beat Tyson Kidd in a decent match. Hard to tell if Cara is someone else under the mask. Cara came out to a huge reaction.

* Alberto Del Rio beat Daniel Bryan by submission in a great match. Cheers for Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez before the match. Wade Barrett came out and attacked Bryan after the match.

* Cody Rhodes beat Ezekiel Jackson to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion after hitting Cross Rhodes.

* Backstage segment with Randy Orton talking about SummerSlam and tonight’s match.

* Mark Henry beat Johnny Curtis. Sheamus came out after the match and confronted Henry.

* Randy Orton beat The Great Khali after an RKO. Christian came out and taunted Orton after the match, saying he’s the best thing going.

* The show opened with Teddy Long introducing new World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton. Orton comes out and says he's not like Christian. Long announces there will be a 20-man battle royal later tonight to determine the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. This brings out Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. Cody reminds Randy of Legacy and boasts about being WWE Intercontinental Champion. DiBiase starts talking but eats an RKO as Cody retreats.

* WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes b. Ezekiel Jackson to retain

* Justin Gabriel b. Tyson Kidd

* WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio comes out with Ricardo Rodriguez. This brings out Triple H who makes Del Rio mad. Del Rio demands Hunter get in the ring or three seconds or something bad will happen to him. When Alberto gets to one, Triple H taunts him and says he's not allowed to physically hurt an employee. He takes off his coat and tells Rodriguez to hold it. Ricardo tells Triple H he doesn't work for him and he will not. Hunter says, that's right and gives him the Pedigree as Del Rio retreats.

* WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio says he has the guts to face anyone. This brings out Daniel Bryan which leads too...

* WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio b. Daniel Bryan via submission in a non-title match.

* WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly & AJ b. Alicia Fox & Natalya

* Mark Henry won a battle royal to become the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Order of elimination: Johnny Curtis, Yoshi Tatsu, Zack Ryder, Cody Rhodes, Ezekiel Jackson, The Great Khali, Heath Slater, William Regal, Justin Gabriel, The Uso's, Jinder Mahal, Tyson Kidd, Ted DiBiase, Wade Barrett, Sheamus & Sin Cara. After the match World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton starred Henry down to end the show.

Doesn't look anything good really, although Henry winning was logical.

WWE Smackdown (Airing September 9th, 2011

Mark Henry comes out to open the show. He reminds the crowd about everyone he has taken out and says Randy Orton is next at WWE Night of Champions. Zack Ryder comes out and says Henry will face Orton tonight. Henry lays out Ryder and ends up having to face Ezekiel Jackson up next.

Mark Henry defeated Ezekiel Jackson. Jackson showed promise at first, dominating Henry but it didn't take long for Henry to counter and give him the World's Strongest Slam and follow it with the pinfall victory.

Sin Cara defeated Tyson Kidd.

Josh Matthews interviews Cara and says that he's not sure that Cara speaks English but we are seeing a more aggressive side of him in recent weeks. Cara says that this is the real him and he was holding back out of respect for the WWE talent but now he's not holding back anymore. Daniel Bryan comes out and challenges Cara to a rematch next week, only to be attacked by Cara.

World champ Randy Orton vs. Intercontinental champ Cody Rhodes is tonight's main event. Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett is also set.

Matt Striker interviews Randy Orton backstage, discussing the Rhodes bout.

WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly vs. Natalya w/Beth Phoenix. Kelly Kelly is beat up the majority of the match but Kelly Kelly rolled Natalya up out of a Sharpshooter attempt to get the pinfall victory.

Christian comes out and complains about Teddy Long not being fair by making the tag match on Monday's Raw Supershow and he wants another shot at Randy Orton and the World Heavyweight Championship. Sheamus interrupts, telling Christian to quit crying and to get out of the ring because he has a match. Christian exits and Wade Barrett comes out to face Sheamus.

Sheamus defeated Wade Barrett via disqualification when Christian came back out and helped Barrett beat down Sheamus. Prior to Christian returning to ringside, the match was back and forth. Sheamus ended up fighting off both Barrett and Christian and clearing the ring.

WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston defeated Jinder Mahal & The Great Khali in a similar bout to what they had last night. After the match, Mahal complains about Khali losing. Triple H comes out and gives him the pedigree twice and leaves.

- Cody Rhodes came out talking about his face and himself and Ted DiBiase.

- Randy Orton defeated Cody Rhodes.

Don't get what the point of HHH doing what was but considering Mahal is so useless I don't have anything bad to say about it. Don't look like the show is anymore than a regular formatted Smackdown.

It looks like a pretty good show, poor Zack Ryder though.
