Official TUF 17: Team Jones vs Team Sonnen Discussion

So did anyone watch the two hour premiere of this the other night? I downloaded it the day after and must say it was a fantastic opening. Some very good qualifying fights with some nasty knockouts and submissions. The production of the show seemed massively different too which I loved, new camera angles and the way people were interviewed really added to feel of the show.

Was kinda strange seeing Chael and Jon being rather nice to one another but I loved how Chael got some digs in throughout the show.

I watched it, this seems like the best cast of people they've had on the show in years. I'm a pretty big fan of all the new production upgrades as well.

The show came in with 1.5 Million viewers which is higher than the last two seasons first episode of the show.

I was going to make a thread similar to this, but i made one for the last two seasons of the show and ended up being like the only person to post in it. Hopefully we can get some actual discussion going this season as it seems like it's going to be a good one.

I forgot all about it but this one does intrigue me so I'll hopefully remember and catch a couple of these episodes.

I got tickets for it about ten minutes ago. So pumped, first ever live UFC experience for me. I haven’t watched it yet, going to catch replay now. I have high expectations as should everyone.

Show debuts on Sunday in Australia and I am looking forward to it. The coaches chosen should provide plenty of entertainment and from the sounds of it it should be a good start to the season. UFC, and Fox, must be hoping that they can revive the series with this season.

So the second fight was pretty disappointing minus the finish. Alot of wrestling and grappling that was just getting reversed and nothing ever coming from them. Was expecting more from Chael's guy though being the #1 pick 'n all, hardly impressive but he moves on.

Uriah Hall next week and one of the most violent knockouts in the fight business, hopefully he was the one doing the KO

Barbosa's you saw as he was throwing it and had enough to get the job done. Halls just came outta no where and with power.

I'd say he's an early favorite to win the whole thing.

This weeks fight was damn fun. Bubba who was Team Jones first pick and also trains with Jones got subbed by Team Sonnen's LAST pick, it was amazing to see. Bubba looked absolutely awful and did fuck all in the fight other than reverse a bunch of positions on the ground which was mainly down to Kelvin not being able to keep his position. Love seeing arrogant fucks like that get silenced.

Loving this season.
