The following four primetime matchups are confirmed for CBS/ STRIKEFORCE/ M-1 GLOBAL SATURDAY NIGHT FIGHTS on Nov. 7:

Fedor "The Last Emperor" Emelianenko vs. Brett "The Grim" Rogers

Jake Shields vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller (Middleweight Title Fight)

Fabricio "Vai Cavalo" Werdum vs. Antonio "Big Foot" Silva

Preliminary Bouts:

Mark Miller vs. Deray Davis
Christian Uflacker vs. Jonatas Novaes
Marloes Coenen vs. Erin Toughill
John Kolosci vs. Shamar Bailey

(All bouts are pending approval by the Illinois Athletic Commission.)

FEDOR "THE LAST EMPEROR" EMELIANENKO vs. BRETT "THE GRIM" ROGERS:
Simply referred to as "Fedor" by fans around the world, the 6-foot, 235-pound Russian is one of the most dominant fighters in the sport. A master of the Russian military combat system, Sambo, he boasts a record of 30 wins, one loss, no draws with 16 wins by submission, seven knockouts and seven decisions. His opponent, undefeated American, 28-year-old Brett Rogers (10-0) stands 6-feet, 5-inches tall, weighs 265 pounds and brings two of the heaviest hands in the sport to the cage. Both Fedor and Rogers’ last victories came against former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski.

JAKE SHIELDS vs. JASON "MAYHEM" MILLER
In the night’s middleweight title fight (185 pounds), Jake Shields (23-4-1) squares off against Jason "Mayhem" Miller (22-6). Shields, widely considered one of the best fighters in the world, brings an impressive 12-fight win streak to the cage, six of his last seven coming by way of first round submission. Most recently, he defeated world-ranked middleweight "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler in his STRIKEFORCE debut on June 6. His opponent, Miller, a fellow submission expert, is one of MMA’s most exciting fighters. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai specialist is the host of MTV’s reality series "Bully Beatdown" and trains with two of the sport’s most recognizable fighters, Randy "The Natural" Couture and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. He currently has 13 submission victories on his resume.

GEGARD "THE DREAMCATCHER" MOUSASI vs. RAMEAU THIERRY "THE AFRICAN ASSASSIN" SOKOUDJOU
Gegard Mousasi and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou will face one another in the night’s light heavyweight (205 pounds) bout. Mousasi (26-2-1) of Leiden, Netherlands, recently scored his 13th consecutive victory on August 15, 2009 by winning his US debut and the STRIKEFORCE light heavyweight title in a first round victory over defending champion Renato "Babalu" Sobral on SHOWTIME®. Sokoudjou (7-4), known to his fans as "The African Assassin," has scored six of his seven wins by knockouts and brings an impressive striking game to the cage.

FABRICIO "VAI CAVALO" WERDUM vs. ANTONIO "JUNIOR" SILVA

Fabricio “Vai Cavalo” Werdum will face Antonio “Junior” Silva in a matchup of two promising Brazilian heavyweights. Werdum is a two-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion and a submission expert while Silva has nine KOs in his 13 victories. Werdum, a former PRIDE and UFC standout, is coming off an impressive first round submission victory in his STRIKEFORCE debut on Aug. 15 over veteran Mike Kyle. Silva, a fellow 6-foot-4 Brazilian, will be making his STRIKEFORCE debut after compiling a remarkable 13-1 record since he turned pro in 2005.

SHOWTIME Sports will produce the four-fight event with host Gus Johnson calling the action and MMA legend Frank Shamrock and Mauro Ranallo serving as color analysts. The executive producer is David Dinkins, Jr.

Judging by the amount of replies I can tell there are many members on here that are HUGE fans of Fedor.

Is anyone watching this this Saturday?

I am actually really looking forward to the Shields vs Miller match. I mean Fedor vs Rogers is going to be exciting but Rogers has a punching chance but nothing more than that. Shield and Miller are both very skilled on the ground and showcase some very impressive Jui Jitsu. I am leaning towards Miller in all honesty.

Ever since Fedor shafted UFC I have no interest in his career at this point. lol. He's not fighting the best, only the guys he knows he can beat since Strikeforce is going to protect him.

Took the words right out of my mouth, Shields vs Mayhem is the only match on this Strikeforce that I'm geeking out for.

That was a vicious shot from Fedor. I have said it before and I will say it again Fedor is "the greatest fighter in the world...that never fought in the UFC." That's how it is supposed to be put, that is who Fedor is.

I give Rogers all the credit in the world, he last longer with Fedor than Arlovski and Tim Sylvia combined. Rogers took this fight into the second and even busted Fedor open. This was a great fight all around.

That fight with Fedor vs Rogers was fucking insane. But Mayhem Miller vs Shields was like wow. So many issues with that fight. The ref let Shields hold miller against the cage with Miller's legs tied and making no advancement for over 2 minutes before he stood them up. Even Miller was raising his hands like "WTF why haven't you stood us up yet?" The crowd was booing Shields like crazy and cheering when Miller stood up. I was surprised Shields did pretty much nothing to end the fight. he was happy to just hold Miller down. Yeah won the fight but come on now. At least Milelr almost won with that rear naked choke in Round 3 but the fucking buzzer went off!

shields was trying the whole time to lock in a submission and get dominant position which he did multiple times. dont blame shields blame miller for being the laziest piece of crap when it comes to ground work, he just layed there, that was the reason it was hard for shield the most impressive thing from miller was his monkey roll. anf if shields was happy to hold him down how come everytime miller got out of a position shields immediately got his back and was trying for the rear naked, i think shields was just too focused on just 1 move, he shouldve looked for an armbar or omaplata or an arm tringle. miller was raising his hands because he was trapped and couldnt get up and didnt even make an attempt, he shouldnt bitch about not being let up if he isnt going to try and get up in the first place.

so fedor beat a scab who's biggest win was over arvloski who is a mental case, i was not at all impressed with fedor, the KO was nasty though but i do think the fight could have gone an extra 5-10 seconds to see if rogers wouldve recovered, he was rocked but he wasnt out and fedor wasnt really landing the shots on the ground.

Ok Shields got dominant position over and over and what did he do with it? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! No armbar attempts no arm triangles nothing> He threw pussy punches and wasn't even tryingt ow int he fight ata ll. Miller threw his hands up because he was stuck but also because SHIELDS WASN'T MAKING ANY ADVANCEMENT TO IMPROVE HIS POSITION! They should have been stood up once Shields was remaining in the same position up against the cage. That calls for being stood up when its the same spot for over 2 minutes.

And how can you say he has beat noe one but scabs? Sylvia, Arlovski, Noguiera, Crocop, Herring, Linland, Arona, Bablu. They are not scabs and just because people are not in the UFC does not mean they are the greatest in the world and to think that way is fucking narrow minded and idiotic. Rogers was down and covering up. He was not intelligently defending himself and the ref stopped it. Rogers was done. period.

Agreed that Rogers was certainly done. Sure the ref could've let Fedor pound on his skull for a few more seconds but it wouldn't have made a difference.

The Miller/Shields fight pissed me off because it was ridiculously boring. I don't understand how the judges handed it to Shields when he never at any point tried to finish the fight. For the last two rounds he just laid on top of Miller and did nothing hoping for the best. Fight should've gone to Miller imo.

well he said he beat a scab and hasn't beat anyone except Arlovski and that was a ridiculous comment. And right on Monkeystyle i completely agree.
