I think he can just fit the Jericho, stop-gap title contender and holder over there

You really always got to say that like a million times about Punk being the Jericho type guy don't you. Maybe that will be his role but there is nothing he can't do to be higher than that

Yeah because he isn't a Miz, Cena, Dave, Edge, HHH, or Orton headline a brand when it is hot type. Just stating the obvious. He is who he is after 5 years of generally the same up and down booking as a face or heel. He is just portrayed weak/squirmy when opposing any top guy and not Miz or Ultimate Opportunist level weak/squirmy at that because he never wins even with a stacked deck, thus Jericho level when it comes to his combo of character and star power

Funny cause you could have said the same thing about Orton until he got his super push and Miz should not be classed in with the guys you named yet. That seems like the path he is on but for all we know he could suddenly stop getting pushed.

Orton as a heel came out on top. Punk with SES losses all his matches and feuds with guys like Rey, Big Show, and so on. He loses his matches that rookies were winning as part of Nexus against Orton by himself when Randy couldn't overcome the odds without the help of other vets. It is just a flaw in his character's booking. He is the guy who goes into the big matches as a heel with the odds in his favor and falls on his face, whereas Orton as a heel, Edge, HHH, Dave in Evolution came out ahead to lead to a bigger payoff. The only guy who I can really point to that has done the same in recent times is Jericho, who like Punk doesn't lose his loyal heat or fanfare, but also will never be the poster boy of the main brand in a long term, transitional yeah, but never long term fashion because he just isn't in that mold.

Legend Killer Orton, Age of Orton, Legacy Orton, whatever came out on top as a heel at a fair ratio, whereas Punk isn't that guy besides sending Jeff off from the b brand and company

Punk never wins, and I always think of that whenever he is booked into a feud. It's pointless, face is always going to come out on top against Punk.

He's pretty useless at the moment, Punk.

Punk is less credible than Jericho, and that's saying something.

-- WWE has officially announced there will be a "RAW vs. SmackDown" Battle Royal tonight, with the winning brand getting an extra two draft picks for their brand.

-- The format of the Draft will be similar to previous years, with several Raw vs. Smackdown matches and the winning brand getting the "random" draft pick.

Kinda wish they would go back to how they did it in 04 with the two GM's on stage and cameras backstage in the two lockerooms

Same thing I said I miss that. I def am not gonna like this this time cause the show is 2 hours so the matches are gonna be rushed as hell.
