Pretty sad that he has to retire now. Thought he'd be able to go a few more years.

I liked Edge, even when people was jumping off the bandwagon.

I'm gonna miss him :(

PWInsider said:
For those who are wondering, the Edge retirement speech was 100% legitimate and real. We were told by a company source earlier this evening that when the major announcement was made tonight, it was not an angle and not storyline.

The story that Edge told about medical tests coming back and showing there was a new issue with his neck and being advised he must retire are true. He was basically handed a mic and told to go out and say goodbye however he wanted.
:(

Edge retiring and them just finding out that it had to happen explains why this Raw seems thrown together. It is a throw away show because they now have to scrap everything they had planned going forward for ppv, for this raw, for the draft, and for the title picture.

I'll miss edge because I have seen him bust his ass since the Brood days and even in Highlander.

Alright, they're gonna use this match to give Miz an opponent and probably to give us another feud. I think they give Cena the title match and set up maybe Ziggler/Truth for the PPV to get Ziggler some heat on Raw.

A long main event? Are WWE feeling ok?

And Miz should've had his entrance on air.

Yep. I thought/hoped they might be done with Nexus. Oh well. So of course WWE's doing Wrestlemania Part II this month. We're gonna get Orton/Punk, Cole/Lawler, Miz/Cena (I think), possibly Morrison/Ziggler. Same shit.

For those who don't know I've read that he hurt his neck with that spear on Brodus Clay and you can apparently see him grab it afterward
