No match is necessary. They would make probably about the same amount of money even if this match wasn't on the card. Actually, the matches that are on the card would have a hell of a lot more hype if we didn't have to spend ~20 minutes every show hearing about this match they have to hype like crazy because they threw this together in the 11th hour. It will always be dumb, not quite as dumb as booking Snooki to wrestle when they could have her just manage and have a wrestler wrestle, but still dumb.
If you are Taker, who do you work with knowing that you are less than 100% and really have no time to get in the ring before the ppv? Kane, HHH, or Wade?
Kane has been done to death and in all honesty with the way they have been booked they would be more likely to reunite against the Corre (I thought they would go this route and say Bearer screwed both of them into fighting one another for the hundredth time personally), so that leaves Big Show empty handed.
Wade is good. He is young and has potential. He is also a bit rough around the edges, never been under the bright lights, and never had to carry a match let alone with a guy whose rotator cuff isn't fully healed.
HHH and Taker have a history of working together. They are the two longest tenured guys in the company. HHH has carried men before in his career and he has a history of being a safe worker. He is by far the biggest draw and best mic worker of the group as well to put the feud over.
If you are Taker would you honestly not say give me HHH coming off rotator cuff surgery and without any time to shake off rust?
Funny thing is i'd rather see her in that match more than the others.
