I've never really watched MMA. I thought about watching a few shows of that later tonight to see if Maybe I'll gain an interest in watching a new sport.

Anyone see 223??

All things considered before Saturday, that card turned out to be pretty impressive.

The Russians, man... they're beasts. I so want to see Nabit Magomedsharipov more. Dude is a lanky-ass ninja.

And big ups to Al Iaquinta aswell. Taking the fight on a days notice and going the distance with nurmagamedov (even though he was dominated every round) is still impressive. His stock rose for that alone.

My gf has absolutely no interest in ufc. But before every match i always ask her who she thinks will win, she went 8-1 this weekend. And the last fight night I watched she went 100%. I think we need to start betting lol.

I've only recently started getting interested in ufc again. Watched a bit when I was like 18-20, but like alot of things, faded away from it for years. Ordered the ppv with cm punk (my first actual purchase and first dose of ufc in probably 7-8 years) and started watching the odd fight nights. Then orders 219 (I think. December 2017) now 223 and I only ordered it because of Khabib. Friggin ppv is so expensive though, definitely can't order them all the time.

Holy sheet so henry cejudo dethrones demetrius Johnson to become only the 2nd ever flyweight champion! Johnson ruled as champ for nearly 6 years! And dillishaw finished Garbrandt for the 2nd straight fight to retain the bantamweight title. What a fight. It didn't last long and garbrandt got caught with the same punch as the first fight. Down the ladder he goes!

Anyone catch 228 this past weekend? It delivered pretty well. Tyron completely obliterated till. Andrade with the huge KO aswell. There was definitely no shortage of finishes this event.

Where my Tenshin fans at?

This kid is ridiculously good. Age 20, a 4-0 MMA record and a 27-0 kickboxing record. When he turned 18 he had a 99-5 amateur record in kickboxing.

Easily the best young fighter out of Japan right now.

His fight with Gucci was fun. Any other fights worth watching?

Anderson Silva vs Israel Adesanya was way better than I expected it to be. Figured Adesanya would put on a striking clinic against an aging Spider but instead we got 3 solid rounds of edge-of-your-seat action. Historically this was a fairly significant fight. A passing of the torch type of fight.

I thought it was good too. It would of been a legendary fight if either of them landed a knock out in that 3rd round. They were so closely matched though, even if that match would of gone 5 rounds it still probably would of been a decision

I know right. When it was announced as the main event remaining at just 3 rounds I thought "ok that's fair. Silva is getting up there in age, probably only trained for 3 so that's cool" when it was all over it was like awww damn we need 2 more! Lol but I guess I'll take a 3 round exciting fight over a potential 5 round dance off.
