DUNN IS POWER. He hit another WALK OFF against the Indians. 5 in a row now for the Red Legs. :y:

Edinson Volquez vs. Cliff Lee tomorrow. I read it's only the 3rd time in major league history that the era leaders from both leagues are going at it. RATINGS

I'd like to see him do that against the Cubs...all Dunn is is a hitter who either gets a HR or a strike out 95% of the time...

jon lester just pitched a no hitter... right after i take him off my fantasy team, that bitch lol...

but as charles barkley said at the spurs-hornets half time show it was against the royals so it only counts as like a half a no hitter. lol i couldnt believe he said that... true tho...

Kudos to Lester on the no hitter, he's got an amazing story if you read about it on ESPN or Yahoo!.

Does anyone know about the rumors that I have been hearing about Ned Yost being fired after the Brewers road trip?

Haven't heard about Ned Yost being let go, but the brewers aren't playing well right now.

Is this kid the real deal for Cinci or is he going to be a bust later on in the season. He was a big name that came up from the AAA league and is expected to be this years Ryan Braun or Troy Tulowitzki (SP?). After the games he has played so far he is batting over .500.

Anyway, hype about him is high right now and I'm just wondering what everyone else thinks.

NL East: Phillies
NL Central: Brewers
NL West: Rockies
NL Wild Card: Cubs

AL East: Red Sox
AL Central: Tigers
AL West: Mariners
AL Wild Card: Yankees

those are my picks

lmao nice picks for the season.

But anyways, the Rangers are looking great this year to have went 75-87 last year. Hamilton looks like he's in contention for the MVP, Hamilton's going to start the ASG, Kinsler looks to be catch up to Cano in AS voting...Young looks like he'll start the ASG. I can't wait until the Home Run Derby, Hamilton will freaking destroy everyone.

He's the leading vote-getter in the American League and a candidate to start at third base in the All-Star Game at his home ballpark. But Alex Rodriguez won't be taking part in the Home Run Derby the night before the midsummer classic at Yankee Stadium.

Like a number of players, A-Rod is concerned that taking part in the Home Run Derby can damage his swing.

"I try to stay away from that," Rodriguez said, according to the New York Daily News. "My responsibility is to the New York Yankees. I need my swing to be at its best."

According to the report, Rodriguez said he has been contacted by Major League Baseball, though he hasn't spoken directly with officials.

"I'm assuming [the Derby is] what it's about, but I don't know," he said, according to the Daily News.

A-Rod has taken part in the Home Run Derby three times, most recently in 2002, never finishing higher than sixth.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said he would leave the decision on taking part in the contest up to his players.

"I don't really have a problem with it. My biggest thing is, just don't get hurt," Girardi said, according to the Daily News. "If a player feels it messes with his swing, I understand him not wanting to do it. But if a guy wants to do it, I'm not going to say no."

A-Rod hit his 16th homer of the season and 534th of his career for the Yankees on Monday night, tying Jimmie Foxx for 14th place on the career home run list.
lol
Swinging a bat could damage your swing?!
It makes your swing better and hit home runs easier...

I'm glad that he isn't in it again. I hope he also doesn't play in the All Star game either.

It looks like the next time C.C. Sabathia takes the mound he'll be donning a Milwaukee Brewers jersey.

The Brewers and the Cleveland Indians agreed to a deal for the reigning AL Cy Young on Sunday, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The newspaper reports the deal is contingent on paperwork being finished and the exchange of medical records.

Cleveland would get Double-A outfielder Matt LaPorta, who is hitting .288 with 20 homers and 66 RBIs in 84 games for Huntsville, and two other minor leaguers in return, according to the Journal Sentinel. The two other players do not include top prospects Alcides Escobar or Mat Gamel.

The Brewers wanted Sabathia on their pitching staff in time to get him two starts before the All-Star break, according to multiple media reports. Sabathia, who is 6-8 with a 3.83 ERA this season, could debut in Milwaukee against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday.

Brewers general manager Doug Melvin told the Journal Sentinel on Saturday that a proposal was on table and he awaiting word from Indians GM Mark Shapiro.

"Mark said he'd be in touch with me," said Melvin. "I'm sure they've got to think through everything."

Laporta was scratched from Huntsville's lineup Sunday, another indication the deal was close.

Milwaukee has been considered the front-runner in the Sabathia sweepstakes. The Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies and Tampa Bay Rays were among other teams vying for his services.

Well the Rangers are sending Milton Bradley, Ian Kinsler, Michael Young, Josh Hamilton, and possibly Vicente Padilla to the All Star Game....hopefully Pedroia gets hurt >_>...so Ian can start :shifty:...*gets plane ticket to Boston*

Even if Pedroia got hurt......the AL will still win. AL > NL
