Brief comment about Croatia vs. Italy from today:

- Pirlo is a beast
- Pletikosa is a savior
- Mario Mandzukic is a damn boss
- Balotelli had a very good game
- Croatia's game was very bad at times while Italy played well most of the time, but the skin of the teeth was missing

All in all, very interesting turn of developments in that group.

About Spain squashing poor Ireland, been there, done that.

Italy reverted to their old tactics of playing overly defensive and one bad play from Chiellini cost them. Had they just continued playing with the tactics they used in the first match and the first half today they would have been fine IMO.

Dominated? Hell no, not enough shots to do that. Had in control, however, YES. It's two different things. Good game, and I think draw is a fair result for what both nations showed. Hopefully Spain and Croatia move on.
