Canny game so far, I think we've dominated possesion but Wed have had the better chances, McEachran's dribble was incredible lol, luckily Steele is on form and has dealt with everything so far, we go in the better team imo, but I can definitely see Wed equalizing if it stays 1-0.

You deserved the win, Madine's goal although a sweet finish was a mile off side although that did level itself out with your second IMO. We lacked any spark going forward Barkley and Jay were poor again sadly, such a shame as they both have great talent levels... god we need an experienced CM to come in and sure us up. Boro will go up if you carry on like that, great play at times.

Yeah tbh I think we were the better team but I don't think 3-1 was deserved, you have a great team of battlers, just never give up which makes it very difficult for whoever your playing, pretty bad decision for your goal tbh but then like you said ours was too. Antonio is a cracking player imo, caused us lots of problems, and Kirkland is far too good for this league, overall you have a very strong defence imo but in the end Ledesma's decisive passing won us the game, no way you will be anywhere near relegation at the end imo, when you look at the games you've lost bar one or two have all been against experienced championship sides or teams that are in great form, bring in a goalsorer in January and who knows where you could finish. I hope so, that's the best passing football I've ever seen us play in my whole time as a Boro fan, and that's saying something considering I've seen us with players like Juninho, Ravanelli and Emerson, as long as we keep on scoring at the rate we are I think promotion could be a realistic target, we have 19 differant goalscorers this season which is an incredible stat imo. Like I said though if you get a goalscorer then you could be floating around the PO at least imo anyway.

19 goalscorers? Holy fuck.

Lmao, I know, usually we can't score any goals but 19 different players seem to have taken it into their own hands lol, except from the keepers I can't really think of a player that hasn't scored yet, unfortunately we don't really have an out and out goalscorer so it's quite lucky the whole team is chipping in, I don't think we will go up though unless we bring one in.

Guess it's better than relying on one player like we are. Speaking of which, you should try bring Griffiths in, he'd take time to adapt but he could turn into a very good Championship striker IMO. Out of contract in the summer.

Yeah that is true, yeah I agree Griffiths could be a great Championship player but if we got promoted do you think he could cut it in the Prem? I haven't seen enough of him to judge, I think he will definitely be in a couple years time but if not now then we'd have to bring in another forward, I agree though he would be a great signing because he will be a great player in a few years.

Yeah I guess that's the issue, he seems to take a while to adapt at whatever level he is at, but I'm pretty sure he'd be cheap and could score bucketloads. But I guess if you're aiming to be a PL side then you'd be looking at better players.

Still, his goal record is much better than Fletcher's was at Hibs or even Jelavic at the Huns and look how well they are doing. Him or Niall McGinn of Aberdeen as well, both on fire this season.

Big game this Saturday for us, play Cardiff away, now Cardiff like us are in great form but they are well known bottlers and we are somewhat of a bogey team for them but still I think if we can beat them then who knows where we can finish, I think we play the best football in the league, we don't have the best squad in the league but I really do think we can push for the big C word and join the big boys in the Prem, if we don't get in the PO this year then I will wonder about the direction we are going in as our starting 11 is fantastic, but I definitely think that the top 3 at least is very achievable.

Think it's only me ever in here now though. :okay:

We'll take Griffiths, hell we'll probably take you R'Albin. Can you play as a lone striker?

I'm willing to play any role, my blistering pace and extremely muscular build mean I'm perfectly suited for pretty much any role to be honest.

Besides, anything's an improvement on Maguire.

Bumping this as I've just been looking on OneBoro and there is a fair few of them claiming if things don't turn around for us by the end of February then Mowbray should either walk or be sacked. I personally think that is ridiculous as he has done soooo much for the club in his short time here, yes we are in a very bad patch atm but when Robson was manager he lost 15 games on the bounce at one point and he is one of our best managers ever, Mowbray has no money and is constantly looking for ways to slash the wage bill as otherwise we wouldn't be able to sign anybody at all. While trying to do this he has also kept is consistently in and around the play-offs, which is a great achievement imo.

So I know not many of you will even follow us at all but I would like to know your take on this, am I just sticking with him as he is one of Boro's biggest ever legends or is it too soon for the knee jerkers to all be asking for his head? Btw we haven't got one point yet in 2013 and gone from 6 points behind top to 17.

So yeah what are your thoughts about our situation, my take is that we stick with Mowbray, it's too soon to be talking about getting rid and given the circumstances he has done a great job imo, in Mogga I trust.
