To be fair, if it leads to some payoff I can't complain. I just don't have a warm feeling about big stables beating everyone up all the time and expecting a big payoff that benefits who it should.

Here's my review, copy/paste from another place:

1. James Storm vs. Frankie Kazarian

Basic opener. Nice promo battle, really liked Frankie's one-liners, lol. Big props to Storm for making the crowd cheer him after all the fuckery with his booking. The crowd sounded very promising here.

**

2. X Championship: RVD © vs. Kenny King

Your typical, generic, vanilla, RVD formula going-through-motions match, with the only difference being that he wrestled another babyface instead of heel. Not bad, but kind of boring and repetitive. Fuck RVD. But I'm glad he retained here, King is just a painfully average singles wrestler.

**

3. World Tag Team Championship: Chavo Guerrero Jr. & Shawn Hernandez © vs. Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan

I fucking hated the outcome. HATED IT! With that being said, this was a solid tag match. Sure, LAX 3.0 sucked donkey's ass big time (duh!), but Matt Morgan made things work. Yeah, I said it! Morgan actually wrestles like a giant now, with no wasted moves. He's all about business, and I like it. His current style reminds me on Kevin Nash from the 90s.

**1/2

4. Bully Ray vs. Austin Aries

Great match, fours f’n stars, yeah. Come at me. Tremendous chemistry between these two, even with the roles reversed. Damn, Aries’ character work is top notch, unparalleled. He was such a great and vicious little prick here, playing mind games with Bully almost all the time. They even made an ubercool callback on Hogan vs. Warrior, lol. Crazy. Bully busted out few great power moves, he’s extremely agile for his size. But you already knew that. Love this match, I didn’t even mind the questionable bleedjob (shit like that is secondary anyway) and the Hogan family interference, because they didn’t spam it. Liked the ending too, because it means MOAR of Bully vs. Aries, yeah! This time in a hardcore environment, I hope.

****

5. Knockouts Championship: Tara © vs. Mickie James

This was actually a good match, they didn't go over the top, thank God. Mickie looked so ridiculous, yet extremely fuckable.

6. The Aces & Eights vs. Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Garett Bischoff & Wes Brisco

Uh, oh… ANGLEWINSLOL! Fuck the booking! Seriously, what's the point of the A&Es after this, they just lost a big PPV match clean! I can't take them seriously as wrestlers, and TNA managed to kill my interest into them after Turning Point. Anyway, this was just a solid WWE style brawl, with a lot of mediocre wrestlers. Wes Brisco worked good.

**1/2

7. Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles

Oh, yeah! Excellent encounter, really loved this. The storytelling was great, with Daniels trying to play his usual psychological games, trying to get into AJ’s head, and there was also a nice mini-arc with AJ regaining some of his confidence during the match. Awesome stuff. Loved the apron spots, and especially when Daniels slammed AJ onto the chairs. That was brutal. The finishing stretch was great, you could feel AJ’s desperation and the lack of focus. And then Daniels beats him with his own finishing move. In their final battle. The ultimate disgrace, and a great story touch. Love this match.

****1/4

8. World Heavyweight Championship: Jeff Hardy © vs. Bobby Roode

Yeah, it’s safe to say there’s a Jeff Hardy main event formula match now. And it’s not bad formula at all, as long as he doesn’t go over the top in finishing stretches. There’s really no point in arguing about heroic comebacks and acts anymore, just let it go. That’s how major babyfaces are booked, and we have to deal with it. This was really good, with Roode working on Jeff’s ribs and backs, and Jeff’s selling was really good and compelling. Liked it. Of course, what’s a main event without Jeff Hardy taking an obligatory ridiculous bump? Jesus, that looked painful! He’s an idiot, but he has my respect, lol. The ending with Roode and the A&Es was interesting, let’s see where they go from here.

***1/2

Fuck me, but I liked this. Any show that busts out two ****+ matches, combined with a good main event, deserves big thumbs up from me. Sure, there was a shitload of mediocre wrestling, but honestly, what can you expect from Bob Van Dam, Kenny King, Chavo, Garett Bischoff, etc? A two star match is their absolute peak, ffs. That’s why there are guys like Aries, Bully, Daniels and Roode, to save and elevate the day. Good show.
